Doom 3 Leaked Already
Well, it's no surpise that games get leaked, but this game is one of the biggest titles and I'm surprised it wasn't leaked earliar. They really kept this game secure. Warp2Search reports that the game has already been leaked and it's on Bit Torrent. I checked the well known torrent site and it's not there, but I did find scanned pics of the manual
P.S - Support id software and purchase this game (be it now, or later.. JUST BUY IT!)

How annoying that people feel the need to steal software...
I'm considering just playing the demo, and waiting for a DVD edition, since I loathe switching cds while playing, and even dealing with many cds and hate dealing with and/or removing copy protection from stuff that I've payed for, when people who steal it don't have to deal with it at all.

I remember reading that they were not going to do a DVD edition because of the cost of pressing two versions of the game (DVD and standard CD).

Rofl what do you think they finish a product on release day?
no it's finised way before!
They fire up the thier mass CD marker and boxing machines and have then shipped out to retailers up to a month in advace of release in some cases.... Same times they set at ware houses some times thier stored in the stores.. but under ver strict release tearms selling early can land thier entire company in verry hot verry deep water
Figure there are like several million copies right now waiting to be put on shelfs
Do you think they, printed, boxed and shipped all those last night....or something....

So are you saying... You've already beaten the game? Or..what? I know of beta 2s, and all that other "beta" releases, but I haven't heard of a full release of the game until recently.

Yes there are several million copies right now waiting to be put on shelves...and that's why it's leaked now. I'm still curious as to what release you were refering to.. If this was released a month ago, it must have been very isolated and not distributed through BT, because BT would have been all over this.

It's out of their hands. It's in the hands of the retailers and the employees there are the ones who open up that UPS box and leak the game. A friend of mine used to do that...

The later release in Europe is unfortunate when it comes to these things. Even sure buyers will download it beforehand. A demo would have covered up pretty well, but that comes even later still.

The whole demo after bit has always been annoying. I blame blizzard.
Sure you can make a better demo, but the waiting takes so much patience to find out if a game is crap or not before you buy it.

I cant understand why the games companies do these staggered releases.
The people who buy these games frequent the internet forums and have to see their American chums going on about how fantastic the games are and generally communicating different opinions and experiences about it.
If the temptation is there to get onto some site and download it so that we dont have to wait 2 weeks or more (by which time many people in the States have already finished the game), then some people are going to succumb to the irresistable appeal of what we cant have.
I can guarantee you there are people outside the US who are playing Doom III right now.

Im sorry Mr. Neon Cowboy, but the game was *not* leaked a month ago, it was just leaked sometime in the past eighteen hours. The game was also not "done" a month ago, it was finished about three weeks ago. Certain Best Buy's started selling it early saturday morning, and it then took a considerable amount of time to crack (uses some advanced SF3.0 type crap). There were four 'fake' releases since Saturday, one of them being the bittorrent release mentioned on warp2search.net. Unfortunatly, I can't post the links that would prove you wrong.

doom 3 got leaked today.. but its sucks.. dont like it
its like Q3 just with improved textures (like CoD)
i am very disappointed.
got sick and tired from these OpenGL first person shooters like Q3..
ill wait for HL2 on the DX9 engine.. its gonna rock
p.s.
"DX9 card is required"
BULLSHIT! its OpenGL game.
old cards like RivaTNT could perform well..
