FF7 (final fantasy VII) best RPG of all time. pitty becuse it looks crap on pc lol
cant seem to fix the problems im haveing with this game
it looks like a 8bit 340x720 resolution with out AF and AA heh
anyway guys to improve the quality of the image ?
was going to play this again becuse its so time consuming and sucks you right into its world
should make me pass the time untill DOOM3
but the way its looking is its going to have to be getting uninstalled like i did previously becuse of how bad the image quality is its like BLOCKS ARE ONIMOUS.
had to uninstall it last time due to not finding a fix for HIGH res Images download something to improve it but going to have to delete if i cant find anything again
this post is the games last hope for a fix hehe

There's a WinXP fix..
Which allows AA.. I've tried to install it, but it failed and I really didn't give it another chance.

Here's the site for the XP patch: http://animevamp.deep-ice.com/ff7.htm
I really don't feel that FF7 is the best RPG of all times, I felt that it was mediocre at best, especially considering the combat sytem.

I didn't like FF7 that much. I liked FF8 more. I played 8 before 7. I found FF8 to be much more fun than FF7. I also liked FF8's music a whole lot more

The XP patch helps a little, despite a lot of inconsistent graphical corruption, but you're still better off playing it on an older 98 machine. Halflife sucks considerably more on my XP machine, but I bet it runs fine on 98 also.

If you have Windows 98 on hand..
And want to play classic games on a 98 OS..But don't want to dual boot with XP? Take a look at VMWare

VMWARE hmmm nice might just try that out though isnt it just a EMULATION program where it emulates an OS install lol but it does not conflict with winxp and runs in a window in a OS lol all confuseing to me :P

It's this:
You install the program, it installs like any other program. You start up the program and then you create a new "Virtual Machine". Just as the name suggests, it's like making an entire computer within your computer. You can select NIC and other the other stuff you wish to install on it. You start it up and it starts up just like a PC with a BIOS and everything, it's like watching the PC boot up.
You can then install any Windows based OS, DOS, Linux, even Windows XP if you wanted to. After that you can just install your game into the "Virtual Hard Drive"
It's a great tool! I absolutely adore it. The only side effect is that it doesn't operate at 100% because you're running an OS ontop of an OS, basically. I used it for college and I use it at home to play with Linux at times, and test out my unattended XP CD. (I don't need a real machine or a CD-ROM drive for that matter because I can just mount the images of my ISO and test it over and over without having to format )
VMware also includes their own "VMWare" drivers which work well with the video card, I don't know how well it does 3D because I've never tried, but I doubt you'll need the full capacity of your CPU and video card to play FF7 or any of those older games which require Win98
It even has Internet capabilities, My WinXP sees my WinXP in Vmware and it can communicate no problem. I used it to install SP2 just incase I had issues with it..
To answer your question.. Yes it emulates, but it does a fantastic job out of it.

I thought FF8 was kinda gay... I did like the CG videos though... And how come none of the FF characters ever get laid?

ff8 is way better the only bad thing about it is that when they tried to combine 3d in the FMVs it were just too obvious as the FMVs were so great for the psx 3d graphics, for the rest it is way better, especially the soundtrack
