All I know it's towards Q4 of this year. It will be a great game though I dunno if I should wait for the PC or get the PS2 version... Hmmm.. Even then, I'm probably waiting for it to get into Greatest Hits

get it on ps2, its better always on ps2. i dont want some losers from konami doing a poor port of one of the greatest games on earth

took me A LOT to get it working at 90% flawlessly on pc.

but i really wanna see how interactive this new jungle environment will be

AND WHO ARE THE PATRIOTS AND HOW DID NAKED SNAKE BECOME BIG BOSS

LOL

Question: Explain the arm thing with Shalashaska AKA Revolver Ocelot... How the hell did he just get Liquid's Arm..and why did it take him over? I probably can get an answer in a GameFAQs FAQ, but I want the gist of it from you

ok well if u remember when there was the conversation between solidus, ocelot and olga in the shell 1 core, he mentioned that he got the arm done in sierra leone. they paid a lot of money to get it.

thats why when rose told raiden that they found the body of solid snake at the tanker explosion 2 yrs before, it had no arm. because liquid's genetic code is identical to solid's therefore they could make solid snake "dead".

in mgs3, its ocelot but at a younger age. he still is very skilled looks like bit a of a rebel, but still has lots of experience to gain (big boss took him out pretty skillfully using close quarters combat if you saw in the trailer) it looked amazing too how he did it.

ocelot will also defect, on the tanker when they were stealing metal gear he said "I abadoned "her" during the cold war" and "mother russia can ROT for all I care". but he is russian and an ex-spetznaz.

there is going to be a lot of switching sides and betrayal in snake eater im gonna tell you that much

Bud believe me i can really understand it, i only played MG2 for the Xbox and i really loved the game, it would make an awsome movie, the story just blows you away. I only wished i played the first one cuz alot of the story doesnt make any sense to me.

borrow a gamecube and do up twin snakes, you will understand everything. get play as solid snake, the scenes are just insane in twin snakes. and this is the TRUE ninja, as much as i liked mgs2, it was not the true cyborg ninja

I liked MGS2. I only played 2, but from 2 you learn a lot about 1. With a lil help from a friend, I understood the story alright. BTW, Rose is hella annoying

I dunno, MGS 1 felt the most complete, it wasn't as dreamy/far fetched as MGS2. I guess its just the way Kojima presented 2 that I wasn't to fond of, but 3 looks like it might really boost MGS up again.

they didnt change anything in my opinion, they did what they said they were gonna do. run the game with the MGS2 engine and new cutscenes. just stuff like music, voice acting wasn't as perfect as the original since they had problems such as diff actors.

loads of framerate issues too i noticed like xbox. i mean if you played mgs for psx and mgs2 for ps2, its not like jaw-dropping. if you have NEVER played metal gear it just will make u jizz your pants! those were some of the sickest action sequences although sometimes it was a little too crazy.

just the gamecube controller ruined the fun, thats my problem with the game and the slowed down music and framerate issues. otherwise its a great game and top for gamecube.

i just hope metal gear solid 3 is a complete overhaul with the ps2, just pushes it to its limits to show what it can really do. they have even said kojima might do the WHOLE game in dolby 5.1 surround which the PS2 is not capable of doing.

btw, it is pretty much confirmed this is "big boss". and the theory of how he gains the title big boss is:

SPOILER----
the character "the boss" was his mentor and woman who he loved. he is given codename "naked snake" or also known as jack. on this mission (or battlefield as the story calls it) he encounters here. she explains why she left and snake defeats his mentor to acquire the title as Big Boss. that's why in the trailer, you see snake absolutely get rocked by the woman "the boss" in close quarters combat, which she taught him. also many talks of defecting, looks like she defected and is his enemy (remember gray fox and snake?).

and a german mag has said its big boss, and all info they have given about ALL metal gear games has been correct, the large rumours that is. im not gonna argue that its not big boss anymore.

no, there were loads of changes for the gamecube version...some of which include (but are not limited to) the following:

The addition of tranquilizers for both pistol and sniper rifle, allowing you to lay out entire squads and waltz right past.

the ability to shoot out cameras.

having a full health bar from the very beginning.

first person weapon

theres some other stuff, but i cant think of them right now...the voice changes really bothered me too.
