exclamation Need info from someone with Doom 3 alpha build

I need some information from anyone that has played through the alpha/beta version of Doom 3. I have an AMD Barton 3200, 512 megs of ram, and an ATI 9600xt running at core=533 mhz and memory=730mhz. Will I be able to run this game at high settings? I know I won't be able to run it at ultra settings but I'm hoping that I'll get at least 30 fps with high settings. Anyone???

System Specs

on the alpha build ATI cards ruled over nvidia cards, then in production nvidia invested huge amounts of money and had nvidia specific code added to the game. I can play the alpha on my 9700 Pro but as for the final product I won't know until next week when it comes out

Interesting. Well the reason that I hope to run this game at high settings is because I want to see what it truely should resemble graphic wise and I don't feel like spending 54 bucks on a game that runs on medium settings. I just don't think it would be worth it. I would end up paying 54 dollars because that's how much Comp USA is selling it for and I have a gift card. Anyway if it does not run at high settings I might as well spend that money on something else. Thanks for the info Chaos.

the alpha release would run fine on yours, and I think the beta 2 release would also run fine for you....as for final....i feel your RAM will be yer bottleneck mroeso then yer video card, and high settings may be just a bit out of your(and msot people's) reach
