FarCry Server limitations

This past weekend I held another one of my monthly LAN parites and we had 9 turnout for some fun. We ran into a little issue with my FarCry server. When we had 7 people it was fine but as soon as we went over that some people were having stutering issues.

Server:
P4 2.5GHz
1GB RAM
Intel Gigabit Server class NIC card

My guess is the issue is the network. I am working with one of my buddies to set up a Gigabit switch to connect the server to hoping that will help. Has anyone seen what the specs are on a server for Farcry. More or less as in how many can connect to 1 server? Next month we could have as many as 15 of us. I am hoping giving the server Gigabit access will help some but I am not 100% sure.
