COD and Far Cry probs.

Earlier today i went to play Far Cry (1.1) online just to try it out, and my system crashed to desktop. I was like no big deal. Started the game back up, went back to play online, and it again crashed to desktop; i was like whoa, this is weird. Then i went to play Call of Duty online, and my system just restarted. Anybody have any idea what could have happened? This has never happened to me before.

might be a memory problem as well....also, make sure your ethernet adapter is getting the power it needs.

i don't think it's a memory problem. My memory i've had for almost a year already, and it's not over clocked.

My system is clean. I check my system weekly for both spyware and viruses weekly, or bi-weekly. However, i think this might be due to overheating now. Not to positive, and i don't think it is, but it might be a possibility.

I think it might cuz i just checked my system temps on idle (11:20pm right now everything at stock speeds! I had stuff overclocked earlier today.), and it's at 42C in this summer heat. During the day, i think it might reach temps of about 48C idle. But even still, load temps should not reach over 60C during the day. Right now my Athlon is being cooled by a thermal right slk-900, and a vantec tornado 80mm fan @ full speed (5800rpm).

Thanks for your input. Now if you have the money to help him finance a new computer please do so. If you don't have anything contructive to say, please keep it to yourself.

EDIT: Great. I quoted and replied to a banned individual.

I doubt it's overheating. My laptop reaches 65C when playing games, and it never has any problems. It used to reach up to 75C just a few days ago, before I blew out the dust from the inside. Even then, the games were merely hitching and low framerate, but it never crashed...
