What is Your Favorite Level in FAR CRY?
Since there are too many Levels to list in a Poll, I've posted the options as listed. Please name your Favorite Level below in your reply.
After having completed Far Cry, I've been playing through again on a higher difficulty level. So far, I've decided that my favorite level is:
Ride the Boat to the End of the River
This one level has so many different approaches and chances for exploration. I missed a few stashes of ammo and health on my first time through. The second time, I did more exploration on the banks of the river and have discovered so much more.
This game is quickly becoming one of the Top Ten Best of Games of All Time per Dyre Straits.

I was a big fan of the indoor levels in general. Sure outdoor was impressive... but indoor was where the map makers really shined.
Thus my favorite level is the one where at the end you rescue the val for the first time(it was awesome as I was pushing around a computer rack for cover).

My fav level was the first time you enter Kriegors complex and are in the hallway with about six pillars per side and you have a huge firefight with about ten elite guards. Took me a few tries and hard diffuclty but was massive fun.

I hated every second of the game and played through it anyway. I'm not sure why.

Nice to see that even something you hated had to be finished

Far Cry is a great game. The multiplayer is very basic, but as far as the SP goes, it's a step in a new direction. Not to mention the graphics...

You can manually save wherever you want to in the game. It's very easy to do so that you don't have to get to an autosave point. Here's how:
Press the ~ (tilde) key to bring up the console.
Now you need to type: \save_game [name]
(Give it any name you want and don't type the brackets. Be sure to include the underscore.)
Press ENTER and the game will save at that point. Now press the ~ key again to remove the console. If you die, you will get this as the last point to load.
If you want to LOAD a saved game do this:
Press the ~ key as above and then type: \load_game [name]
(Again, don't include the brackets. Just be sure to type the name you used correctly.)
This method isn't 100% fool-proof, however. I had a few instances where things didn't load correctly, but, for the most part it worked just fine.
As for that Volcano Level: Yes, I kept back up on the other side of the damaged bridge and used the binoculars to locate enemies. Then I used the rockets from the jeep, sniper rifle, etc, to eliminate as many as I could before going across the bridge.
I actually loved using the vehicles. The BRAKES come in VERY, VERY handy! On that volcano level, I'd see a rocket coming at me and back out of the way and watch it/them fly right by. Love it!!!

Once you use the USE key, try JUMPING from the boat.

was a great game, loved the outdoor levels for their stunning looks, and enjoyed the indoor ones as i like to be taken through a game in a fairly linear way (cant make decisions for myself!). the level where you come out of a building, could be archives and theres a massive drop down to a river, and loads of guys to snipe. also the first time you get the forklift truck (best vehicle imho, just brilliant). cant remeber the name of the mission tho, will have to play it again to find out...

Something is definitely wrong somewhere then. That's a real bummer.
When you activate your USE key, do you still have control of the boat? I know that when I press that key, I no longer can control the boat -- unless I press it again. So, if you're still in control of the boat, that key's not working right.
