GTA3 Thread!!!
Well i was worried about my system being able to play this game nicely but not anymore! I went to pc.ign.com and read their preview of the game and they stated
"the PC version has gotten a big facelift over the PS2 version. Not only can you bump up the resolution to an eye-piercing 1600x1200 with 32-bit textures, but the game sports better lighting and particle effects than the PS2, although it depends on your video card (the Radeon 8500 looks boss!). As you would expect in this day and age, unlike GTA and GTA2, everything is now fully 3D, and you can view the world from either a first or third person perspective, or even a top-down view if you're a stickler for the original. Although the game requires a 450MHz machine with a 16MB graphics card, the game is fully scalable so you can adjust the detail to your system specs. And if you're one of the few people lucky enough to own a widescreen monitor, there's full support in the game for that as well. "
Just thought some of u would be intereseted. I will also post this on Rage3d.

That's why PC's kicks the sh*t out of gaming consoles. Resolution galore plus other special effects you get to play with. Just as long it's not a port job, then you mine as well play it on a console !
GTA3 comes out May 21st!!!!!!

This needs a little clearing up
You can only have a first person view if A. Your in a car B.You have a gun that fires in First person in witch case no movment.
Other wise the game is in a 3rd person view and that not a bad thing by any means. However while the PC version will feature some better graphics with out On-Line play other than better looks I have no reason what so ever to get the PC version
For those that don't have a PS2 tho enjoy. This game is awsome

Trunks0: "As you would expect in this day and age, unlike GTA and GTA2, everything is now fully 3D, and you can view the world from either a first or third person perspective, or even a top-down view if you're a stickler for the original." Taken from pc.ign.com . It doesn't say anything about it being limited to first person if you have a gun or in a car. I'm getting a PC version because I don't have a PS2 >:o

not from experience here, but to have it in those 3 modes the whole game through would make it hell to play on a ps2. on a computer, though, it makes sense.

Can you back over peoples skulls with your car and wait for the suction/crack noise that a pumpkin makes?

Passed it quite a few times actually.. but I haven't checked out much "percent" I was
done.. Though, in my last save game (after completing it), i've finished all the other
missions available (telephone missiions), did all of the taxi missions, I think all of the
ambulance missions, and a some "renegade" missions..
