Check out game xp
This is a great freeware app that optimizes windows xp for gaming purposes. What it does is in laymens terms is free's up processor power by shuttimg down all programs running in the background, seen many articles about doing this by hacking the registry, but this app makes it easy for the noobs as it will do it without without messing with the registry. i think this app is a piece of shhhhhhhhhhh... !!!!
i tried it ones and the app shuts down the programs i need most like the integrated firewall from XP (i know that one sux ...but it's a handy back-up) and my system started to give hick-ups
maybe someone with a better comment on the program ¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿

Game XP
It's like almost any other XP Instant Tweak application, you run it and you get to apply all these registry tweaks for your PC. I honestly think any user should not be using instant tweaks on their system unless you know what each tweak does and how it would affect their PC. There are some tweaks which are like turbo for your car. It can't hurt to use it and almost everybody can have it without harm. But there are some tweaks there that are like NOS and some people just can't handle it.

This application is a nasty piece of work.... I installed this and it screwed up my PC. My advice is to stay well clear, i posted a warning about this app many moons ago.

I had an unfortuante accident in which Game XP,and Space Ace 3 , i dload had spyware in the dload from http://www.majorgeeks.com/download4152.html i reformated.
I dloaded Game XP once again from Author site with spyware again  http://www.theorica.tk/ my computer which i beilive was clear the second time
Game XP tweak worked good on XP PRO. All of the services in the back ground i did 'nt need at that time playing soldner demo muilplayer game
AMD Athlon XP 3200+Barton. 2x512PC2700. DDR .Radeon 9600XT 265mb. Asus A7N8X- De. 2x80ATA Seagate.
Case Antec PlusView1000AMG 5x80m fans. PSU 450.
3DMark2003: 3899

I use XP pro and now with all the freed up processor power I'm gettin the warp speed it advertised. I give it a thumbs up.
