What do we know about Half-Life 2 Release?
So I was looking around and I can't really find anything about the HL2 release date. Amazon has it shipping Sept. 3 Eb games has 9/01. But I coulda swore I saw june or july not that long ago. Anyone know anything?

Middle of Summer is what I've seen and heard mentioned by Valve and Gabe many times the past couple of weeks on diferent websites, etc. Middle of Summer would be like July. Maybe the 4th...?

They said on Half-Life Radio that it would be summer 2004. Gabe Newell was on and even announced sometime around summer. But knowing Valve... dunno lol

The only thing we know to some degree of certainty is that Valve cannot be trusted. So don't waste energy on waiting for some specific date. It will come when it comes. Maybe this year if you're lucky...

Thats kinda what I was afraid of actually. Although PC gamer has a pretty good right up about their playtesting it.

Do you know if my computer will run it bad / adequately / good? Will I be able to put on eye candy such as AA?

That same PC gamer has a release date of 6/15 for Doom3, hopefully that one happens. JJohnson you were kidding right?

Thanks! I think you'll be able to run the game just fine though I'm not sure about the level of AA you'll be able to apply! Perhaps someone more knowledgeable will give you an answer!

his system should run the game but it wont be running at 1600x1200 with 4aa thats for sure.

I can't run it at 1600 anyway... My monitor is 1280 @ 60hz, but I never go 1280 =/
