FarCry buggy as hell
I purchased FarCry today and haven't been able to play for more than a few minutes at a time without it crashing to the desktop. It seems to stutter for a moment and then crash.
The problem initially is when I was using beta drivers (being a beta tester) and weren't sure if that was the problem so I tried Omega's 4.4 B's. To be honest, the game looked worse with the Omega drivers, and played slower and still crashed. Next I tried the official Cat 4.4's, same problem.
I read the guide in this forum (tweak guide) and it said something about Overclocking can cause problems, so I put everything back to stock, cpu, fsb, vid card, everything. Still crashes to desktop without an error. This is a brand new fresh install also.
Now if anyone had this problem and came across a solution, please tell me here. If I do not get this working by Noon Time, 12pm -5 GMT Saturday, May 8th, The game is going back. The game looks great so far and I really want to play it but can NOT deal with the horrible bugginess. Thanks.

Even if it runs stable..
The game is still buggy as hell. Throughout my FarCry experience I've encountered more bugs than I could count with my two hands. Bugs I've encountered mainly comprised of characters getting stuck, and other ones involving battles with the humans and the trigen (Spelling?).. During one battle, I witnessed in some sort of underground temple of some sort, I wanted to wait for the Trigen and Human scientists to finish each other off because I was down on ammo and health. I waited and waited then.. I heard nothing.. everything suddenly stopped, I walked into the room and everybody was suspended in their position. They were still alive, but just standing there. I just walked through and continued the mission.
However, I did enjoy the game though
I know this didn't help, but when I read the title of the post, I thought you meant bugs like this.

I've only had the game crash on me once and that was because of the ever loved alt-tab.
I did notice a few of the "stuck characters" issue, but to be honest it only happened about 3 times the entire game.
My biggest problem with the game, as with all ubi games, is their CD protection thing.
Apparantly UBI games do not like CDRW drives etc. etc. and after updating my firmware and all that fun stuff I still could not get the game to run, until I found a no cd patch.
I have to use no cd patches on every single ubi game I own, it sucks hard core, but their CD protection is just a pompous piece of trash that prevents legit gamers from playing the games they forked out $40 USD for. Go UBI!
As far as your bugs, is the only problem crashing?

if you are overclocking your system lower EVERYTHING to default and run, this game is well known to crash alot of overclocked systems, its pushing everything to the max.

I have run this game many times without a single crash (yet), I do run OC (but I don't know if you guys call my overcklock as overcklock - maybe a infant overclock??) I run from 2,4 - 2,6 with the mem oc to 434 mhz.
Try to reintall the game and also the drivers for the graphics card and see if that helps.

It does for me, if I overclock to a certain level even if nothing else does.

well it was one hell of a test for my system when I got it, I was sitting at 4ghz stable until I played farcry even with prime passing tests fine. Farcry would crash to the desktop or even hardlock at 4ghz. im not sure if its a problem with the game on my specific setup, but ive heard alot of people complaining about the game crashing with high overclocks. im sure not everyone is affected but the game is rock solid for the people ive spoken to at default speeds, something worth looking into for Zero.

I got it working fine with the latest omega 4.4 drivers but I started to get some probs with other games I played and I had to revert to the older 3.10's and since then I've given up on farcry.

Surprisingly I haven't noticed any issues with the game, I'm impressed actually. Sorry to hear of your troubles, try relaxing your memory timings and maybe give the ram some more voltage(+.1). You can also give DriverCleaner a spin
