Colin McRae Rally 4 on PC

what do you guys think of the demo so far.
I like it what a great conversion from PS2, everything is 100x times better on the PC. ok lie graphics and sound is 100x times better the rest is still perfect.

I get 42FPS with 1280x960 and 4AA and 4AF and all maxed details. all smooth unlike NFSU

It's a great demo.. I liked it alot. It runs more fluently then CMR3 here.
I can't wait till the full game reaches retail.. Finally some Multiplayer again and choosing my own car instead of being stuck with only one car in championship.

Performance is pretty ok.
@ 1024x768, i get between 40 - 50 fps.

Excellent plays very well - although my sound was screwed up I think. It sounded speed dubbed. Can't wait for the full release of this, graphics & gameplay are lovely!!

Yep, mine sounded like my navigator had been at the helium again, but played great...just one gripe, why oh why no 1280*1024 option, that is the native resolution of a lot of 17" TFT's including mine!! C&C Generals was the same, had to play it at a non-native resolution and it looked crap!

weird isnt it. maybe you guys with weird sound dont have EAX4 compatible sound cards? or you havent got the EAX4 patch? or you have eax on and dont have a create sound card? man took me 2 hours to get perfect with the controls again. managed to cut 47 seconds of my first time drive. so realistic, you need to concentrate so much when driving not to make any mistakes. I prefer this so much to unrealistic racers.

heh yeah the anouncher sound on hellium. I've got an nForce2 motherboard (Abit NF7) and I use the onboard sound. I just hope that in the full version I dont have the same problem, It'll be solved though somehow Im sure.

Not really, anything other than native resolution on a TFT looks weird...kinda fuzzy...and 1280*1024 is the native resolution of my monitor!

i agree with you 100% man, 1280x960 is an idiotic resolution, going back to 1024x768 will be the go IF i still buy it...

if your asking me what res i play at, its 1280x1024 so thats why its annoying to have 1280x960 as the max res in a game (my monitors max res is 1280x1024 but doesnt support 1280x960)

do you know how hard it is to stomache 1024x768 or whatever when your spoilt by 1280x1024 or higher...

what size monitor u got? I only got a 17" so 1024 is the most suited resolution.
