System Specs

Default Post Morrowind - Performance Comparison

My brother-in-law got the game today. I went over to see how well it performs on his P-IV 1.6 Windows XP (H.E.) system with 512 MB PC2100 memory and the same Radeon 64 DDR VIVO as I have.

I was surprised that the game did not run any better on his system than on mine. In many ways, it closely matched the performance I've been seeing on my own system.

He hadn't upgraded his XP RADEON drivers in a while, so, we did that, too. He now has the 6118 drivers, Control Panel, and WDM files.

It just surprised me that, with all else identical, there wasn't a noticeable increase....not even an increase, period...in the way it performed.

However, it was still beautiful to behold. He was blown away by the graphics and the playability of it all. It's still greatly playable, just not any faster or better FPS.

is that a 1.6A or just plain 1.6?
If its 1.6A, you'd better get him to overclock that mofo to 2.4ghz
