Maybe a Better thread title will get a bigger responce.. if not... oh well ... i'll let it go...

to many people lost there Q3 cds?

Every year... at about this time... i continue my effort on a Quake 3 Arena level.... This level was inspired by orginal UT's "Pyramid" map

I formally called it Pyramid as well...

And every build i get... gets closer to a final.. or just simply maxed out version..

This level WILL undoubtably push every card out there to a limit.... Radeon 8500le's would even have troubles... dropping to no lower then 40ish FPS..

My question..... I've been intending to get more content into this level.... including site logos.... Video card logos... and whatnot...

But if i can... i'd like to make an official DH Quake 3 Level...

I can either just put the DH logo spinning somewere.... or maybe change the color scheme.. (the second would be FAILY tough and hard to play on)

I'm already getting to work on loading it up for just pure Dedicated server..

I'm also working on CTF version of it.. (2 pyramids)

Another question: Would anyone be or is anyone even interested in it?

Has anyone even played the current version i have out?

Anyone interested in providing help?

I'd really like to get it done... and available as a final version..

All video are AVI's.... and encoded with DIVX (you must have a divx decoder to view)

Available off my server... so the bandwidth is excellent....

There is one place were a texture is missing... (the program i'm using sometimes decides to load up it's own textures... but doesn't put em in a base)

Also... Version 1.32 Patch (for quake 3 arena) is a must to use the the timedemo...

If i can get a good responce.... i'm going to work on it alot....

Rail gun is in one of the 4 corner pyramids..... Don't get confused.. you won't know which way your facing.... My host is on t3 line... or better.... it provides at over 10mb/s (for me)... and uploads at about the same.... really really nice.... The map is over 3 years old now.... Actually.... orginally... i was making it for Quake 2... so... go figure on how long it's been in the process.... I had a full working quake 2 pryamid map working... but.... it's damn hard ..quake 2 doesn't seem to enjoy it...

....it is old..... I plan on doing a conversion from that.. to whatever doom brings out.. I'd do UT2003... but damn.... i find the tools Barbarically hard to use... BTW... I've currently setup a Dedicated Quake 3 Pyramid Server..... if i can find out how to make both UT2003 and Quake 3 Run at the same time.... i'd be set.... Halo/UT2003/Quake3 all on one server...

there are all of 3 Major textures in that level.... being the floor... the ceiling.... and the colums..

The other being the platforms outer edges.... which.... i think it's good to have some kind of difference between them all...

Next being the textures for the weapon platforms...

BTW.. the floor/ceiling textures ARE 512x512 res textures.... which... if i decide or find enough people interested..... will be converted over to 1024 or larger....
