New toys for Christmas

I have a little bit of money given to me by relatives today and I'd like to get me a new joystick.

I'm getting very much into Lock On at the mo and my current joystick isn't really up to the job - I need HOTAS.

I can't afford the 300quid for a HOTAS Cougar so I'll have to make do with the Saitek x45, but before I rush out and get one, can anyone tell me if they are any good or if there are any problems with them.

Which one is that? I saw that the x45 doesn't have that feature.

K, I know the one your going for now. I don't know anything about that setup but it looks to me you're going to need some room for that puppy!

If I do get it, it will hopefully mean the end of a need for a keyboard in the flight sims. I'm actually dumping an image of my Falcon 4 disk(which hasn't been out of its case since 1999 when my last HOTAS broke down) onto my HDD in the excitement of it all. Can't wait to see the look on my girlfriends face when she sees "even more bloody computer junk" installed onto my desk
