bored of controlling lame ass characters? sick of the same old human players with a gun or a sword, well how about controlling something who can fall from any height without damage, how about controlling something who can suck blood/souls, can wield a massive sword and jump 30 foot in the air while attacking enemies, how about controlling something who can use telekinesis to attack and throw enemies from different locations over the edge of buildings or into other enemies?
how about controlling something who can jump across massive ledges and walk through doors in mist form and take bat form to fly?
how about taking control of the mighty vampire KAIN.

it plays very well, initially I was really getting irritated by the keyboard commands, as there are quite a few of them, relating to the vampires KAIN and RAPHAEL and sometimes it takes some working out which key to hit, but ive gotten used to it and im sure with a pad it would work alot better. I might hunt out my sidewinder USB MS gamepad, but I generally like keyboards, I think with this one though there might be too many to feasibly use in the heat of a battle.
Its a great game, exceptionally well coded, runs super smooth on my system at 1600x1200 with everything maxxed and 2 aa 16 quality aniso. Very refreshing to control two very powerful characters instead of the lameass guys we are normally stuck with. alot of combat combos. In some ways the graphics remind me ingame of prince of persia, just smoother with better combat.
highly recommended especially for those of you who loved bloodrayne, I love it. only comment would be the large array of keyboard commands, some people might find the control irritating. ive persevered with it because its just so damn beautiful to watch when playing !

He sounds more like the mighty vampire Alucard.
Well, at least Alucard is good looking! That Kain is butt-ugly!

no console port on these textures :)
this is the other vampire raphael..... he is pretty cool too, not so much brute force as Kain but he is a better jumper, has some pretty mean moves and can shift between the ethereal plane and "real life".

My wife bought me this for christmas and I had a go at it last night, with a few stiff whiskies in me, very good engine, runs well on the 5900 card I have. Yeah I would recommend it as well.

The game is fantastic, runs super smoothly but i have to complain about the ugly control system, as Zardon said sometimes you don't know what key hit to go in a certain direction, the jumping levels can be a little frustrating. I'll recommend the game of course but along with a good game pad

It really is a fantastic game I intend to play it more later, runs so well and gets better IMO the further you get into it - some quite challenging levels leading to much hair pulling !, ive been playing Shenmue2 on the xbox as well today, got that for xmas !

yeah I am, I did beat the first one on the dreamcast and I totally loved it. This is one game on a console I dont pay too much attention to low res graphics - just shows how good the game is !

yeah would have to agree its a killer game ZARDON when you get to chapter 8 it becomes a nightmare LOL you will know what i mean when you get to VARADONS MANSION < this is the point when the gameplay get harder and stranger and Mazelike lol also playing as RAZEL is more dificult playing as Kain is more easy becuse he does not use the spectral reilm to solve puzzles
