Silent Hill 2 save file needed, HELP!!!

I've been playing Silent Hill 2: Director's Cut. I was all the way up to the Labirynth part when I updated my VIA chipset drivers to those 4.49 4in1's. Well, those 4in1's messed up my save file for the game and all I get is "file damaged" when I try to load the save game. I was playing the main scenario on easy-easy and trying to get the "water" ending.

My guess is that all you'd have to do is zip up the "save" folder inside the install directory's "data" folder and EM it to me so I can re-establish my place in the game.

I REALLY don't want to start all over again, I've already played through it once (got the "leave" ending) and don't want to have to play it through a THIRD time just to get back to where I was the second time through.

This set-back really sucks the enthusiasm out of playing the game, you know?

Can anyone help me out? Even if it's just a link to where I might aquire some save files or something. I've tried Google and came up with nothing.

Sorry bud, I picked this game up for $10.00 but I just couldnt get into it.
It move's so slow. I like the first one on my old PS, But this one seems....diffrent
Not sure what it is, Maybe its just me now that I've been playing PC games for the last few years.
I used to love games like this! But I just couldnt get into it now

bummer.....I guess I'll just unistall it for now until I get the urge to go through the whole game again. Oh well....

I guess that's what I get for messing with the beta 4.49 4in1's before the "Official" ones came out.
