Elite Force II vs. Freelancer
Hi guys, i was looking for some insight into whether I should buy Star Trek: Elite Force II, or Freelancer. I've played both demos, and i like them both, but i really want to hear from the people that have played the full versions of the game. I've read through several professional reviews, and i was wondering what was your experience, and which one did you like better if you played both. Thanks for your input!

I played through and beat freelancer and I have elite force 2 sitting next to me, but I havn't installed it yet. Freelancer was a lot of fun, and it had good gfx/ ok sound.

I really enjoyed them both, they are really vastly different games, what kind of games do you enjoy the most? personally I find it hard to put down a FPS game and elite forces II is a great one, but its a little short....

I enjoyed Morrowind, i.e. hugely open-ended, games, FPS, are also somewhat in my taste, I enjoyed Elite Force I immensly. JKII, Deus Ex, NOLF2 all were very fun for me.

both really good games(i finished them both). the downside with EF2 is that it´s quite short again, like part 1. but the story and atmosphere are really nice. freelancer took longer to finish, and even after finishing the story you still can roam around and take missions or do business.
but basically it comes down to what you rather wanna play: a good fps or a good space action game.

Tough choice since they're both kickass games. But since you seem like both and can't really decide, I say go for whichever one is cheaper at the moment and wait for the other to drop in price.

I've spent ALOT more hours on freelancer than on Elite Force II, which means that I think that Freelancer is a far better game. Freelancer reminded so much of Frontier Elite I/II/III which I used to play alot in my younger days.
Elite Force II was no new type of game, and there wasn't any new stuff that you could to comparing to other games.
So I would definitive go with FreeLancer.
And also, Freelancer is the kind of game that never ends. Ok, you may beat up the final boss, but after that you can go around space a beat up other bad guys and just gain more and more Exp. Levels.

But in Freelancer, are the submissions, repetitive, because while playing the demo they were. Go assasinate Subject A, escort Ship B, etc. Do the submissions develop as the main storyline progresses?

The more level your are ganing, the harder the submissions are getting.
But, somewere at Level 21 (about where the game "ends") the submissions are about the same.
But there are a variety of submissions type anyway in game. And as said, the further, the harder it gets.

I'm thinking that both games are pretty interesting. I think at this point I'm looking for a little more than a few hours of gameplay. I'll probably go for Elite Force after it's come down in price *though i've seen them at the same* and then buy it.
