what version of half-life should i buy???

should i buy the platinum collection, counter-strike stand-alone, wait for condition-zero, or some other version i don't know of?

dont buy the CS stand alone, becuase CS is free to download. Buy just the regular HL with no other mods (IE: gold, silver, bronze, aluminum, platimum, GOTY) The regular HL will let you play every other mod that is included with the other packs, and the mods are free to download from various places online.

Well I guess if its all that you can find, I have seen copies of the original going for 9.99 at various places. The original would be worth more if you ever wanted to resell the game too.
