A counter-strike problem I cannot solve
If your like me and are stuck with dialup because of where you live, you know multiplayer gaming can be a challenge. I found counter-strike to be the only real game I can play with 56k and enjoy. But I get this error all the time and after exhaustive searches for others with the same problem I feel I should just make a thread and ask.
I can be playing along, fragging as usual, and my game will exit back to the options and a dialog box will apear with this message, or something close to it.
NET_SEND! packet error
I cannot get back into the game unless I restart CS. This is very annoying. I run XP Pro

Uninstall CS, delete the directories of CS, restart, reinstall CS, install the 1.5 update, the mappack (optional), restart, 'Update' the servers once again (takes like 15 min), and play, if this doesn't solve it we'll try something else.
Go do this I mean it doesn't take that much time, and if you play CS your probably bored anyway.

Half-Life is a classic game its already stood the test of time So why are people Complaining about it, I understand its dated but Do you realize what it has accomplished 4 yrs Running strong is something no other game can say.
THis problems seems to be a connection problem if you turn on netgraph you should see how many packets are dropped and the choke, I highly suggest you bring it up use "net_graph 3" in the Console press the ~ key to get to console type that in and see what the loss is, the netgraph will show up bottom right side, If you are getting ANY loss it means you have a poor connection to that server if there is constantly loss no matter the server it means your Dialup is having SERIOUS issues. You can get sub 100 ping with Dialup I used to get atmost a 120 ping with AT&T Worldnet Dialup and a properly configured Rate setting another console command, just set the rate to the same bps you connect with so if you connect at 48kbps rate should be 4800 if your connected at a slower speed set it accordingly

I remember back in my old CS days when I played with clan ORD ( http://www.tardhauze.org If you find the old south veterans section I'm Ju Ju Bean and I'm near the bottom) I had around 300 ping and everything was fine, but I hear lately that if you get near that ping your pretty much screwed.
