Hey. I'm having problems running System Shock 2 on my computer. It loads the introductory movie, but when it begins to load the game, it freezes and I just get a black screen until I give the old three finger salute. I checked the Windows XP compatibility list and found that System Shock 2 is compatible, so I was wondering if anyone out there had similar problems, and if they were able to fix it somehow. My system specs are posted below:

Gigabyte GA-8IE533 mobo
Intel Pentium 4 2.4 ghz
768 mb PC2100 DDR-SDRAM
Western Digital 80 gig HDD
MSI Geforce 4 Ti4200 128 mb 4x AGP w/ Nvidia 44.03 official drivers
Creative Soundblaster PCI 512
Windows XP SP1

First of all... Awesome game. Though many have had trouble using it in XP because of the CD checker. You should look for the no cd patch. I reccomend through the looking glass - ss forum You'll even find mods and stuff if you search it.
