The Hulk
Anyone played this game yet? im initially quite impressed, good visuals with interactive scenery (to a limited level). One for fans of the marvels comics and younger kids.
Dont know about long term playability yet, ive only had a couple of games at it. pretty big game, coming in on 3 discs and around a 2 gig install.
Seems quite playable and runs fantastic on those 9700/9800 cards ! sweet visuals, done in a semi cell shaded kind of style fitting in well with the comic book feel.

I just started playing it this week. So far I like it! The game is just a whole lot of fun running around and smashing everything. Graphics are nice and smooth and the look of it fits. I agree with Zardon and shuki as I dont know yet about long term play but it is great to lose your self in it for awhile smashing everything. Lot's of fun so far.

My son got The Hulk for the PS2 a couple or three weeks ago. He couldn't put it down till he finished it.
I've played the very brief demo for PC. It looks like a lot of fun if you just want to take out some frustration for a while from playing Indiana Jones and the Emperor's Tomb.

Yuck.
I played it a while ago, but did NOT care for it...just not me cup of tea. On the brightside, the movie is pretty good so far. I'm only about a third of the way thru, but it's WAY better than I thought it would be.

I've always found games based on movies to be lacking, and from the minimal amount of advertising I've seen of this one, it would seem the same would apply here. However, since some of you appear to have enjoyed it, I think I'll probably take it for a spin.

It's a pretty fun game. It's a bit repetitive though. It's pretty funny when you smack a guard and they go off the side of the biulding screaming. Yeah, the graphics aren't "all that" but it runs great on my 8500 and it IS supposed to look like a comic book after all. You would think though that the Hulk could decimate a regular person with one hit, but on this game, you have to hit them 3 or 4 times before they die.
You gotta love the sense of power it gives you. Beating the snot out of everything somehow just pumps ya up.
As Bruce Banner you do alot of creeping around and that's a little boring, but as the Hulk, it's brain bashing bliss.
I give it an 8 out of 10 for what it is.

My son shared this little tidbit with me about the movie:
The HULK's facial image is a caricature of director, Ang Lee. It's supposed to be a little tie in with:
"Don't make me Ang Lee. You won't like me when I'm Ang Lee."

LOL. How old is your son?
I liked that.
I've tried the demo and I've got the game lying around somewhere. It's a great beat-em up.

I just got in from the movie. I thought it was really good....but with a few slow spots. Otherwise, it's really quite impressive.
My son is the assistant manager of a comic book and game store locally. He's been an avid comic book fan since he was 8 or 9 years old. You'd be amazed at how many professional people are comic book/novelty card collectors.
Anytime there's a movie out based on a comic book or game character, we definitely have to go see it. He really gets opinionated if it's not loyal to the franchise.
