Settings in Enter The Matr1x ?
These are my settings currently... anyone have any advice to make performance/quality of game better? Like setting the Filter to 4 rather than 2... does that make any difference? Or running Bilinear/Trilinear rather than Anisotropic.
ATi 9500 Pro 128MB 3.3 Infineon RAM @ 349/305 -- Omega 2.4.43 HACKED Drivers
Both in Direct3D and OpenGL: AA: 4x/ AS: 8x -- I had the AS set to 16x and I really didn't see MUCH difference? What do you think.. ?

I have the 9700 pro and stock speed and just let the ATI CP take over. I shut off all in game AA and AF options so that my settings in the CP will take over. I set AA to 6x and AF to 16x in CP and set texture filter to none and AA to zero in game. I also left w-buffer checked if that matters at all heh. Also have allow gamma and shadows just like you.

Go into the Enter the Matrix installation folder and look for a file called "MatrixConfig".
Open with Notepad.
Go down almost to the bottom and find the text that says this:
Please turn to 1 if you experience graphical corruption during Focus moves
Change the value:
ALTERNATEFOCUS=0
to
ALTERNATEFOCUS=1
If you have battle lag (While fighting multiple enemies, your FPS drops dratically) then this is what you want.
Press your Start button on windows and click on "RUN".
In the command prompt, type "dxdiag" with no without quotations.
The DirectX Diagnostic tool (Dxdiag) will open.
Above you will see a list of tabs, click the tab labeled "Sound".
Look for a slider labeled "Hardware sound acceleration level".
Drag the slider over until you find the setting of "Basic Acceleration" and make sure it's not "Standard, None, or Full".
Turn Shadows off...
I dont use the sound fix but the alternate focus settings should greatly boost your fps.
hope this helps.

yeah, thx for the tip jaggeduk. just tried the game.... love everything related to the matrix but this just looks like a laggy piece of shite
will try the tip and see if that changes my impression of the game
btw, how the heck do you screw up a game that features the cast of the movies, parts of the movies as cinematics? it should almost be impossible ffs, oh.. yeah.. its shiny entertainment
id admit the mdk games were very original, but i cant say that ive ever played a game from them that was actually FUNNY!

Is there some sort of frame-limiter built into this game? Because whatever settings my friend runs the game at, it's always for instance: 30fps in the opening lobby scene... and No, he's not using V-sync
