Call of Duty: World at War

I'm curious about peoples' thoughts on this game. I have only played through the online multiplayer beta and maxed my rank (lvl 40) and it was pretty fun. But I can't stop myself from accidentally calling it a CoD4 mod.

Re: Call of Duty: World at War

Yeah it seems like that. I prefered the single player campaign of COD4 however.

Re: Call of Duty: World at War

I played cod2, cod3 and cod4 through and liked them. Cod4 being ultimately a lot better than previous titles. Now that I've played this game for 3 hours, I must admit that I don't like it at all.

Graphics doesn't look too good, it feels and looks like a beta mess. I haven't noticed any bugs so this can't be a beta, right?

Not sure if I want to continue playing this game ever. Gotta start looking out for a copy of Quantum of Solace which is suppose to be better, and it also uses cod4 engine.

EDIT: Tried Quantum of Solace at my friends. It's addictive but looks cheap(too bight colors and shaders). Played more of cod5, it started to seem better.

Re: Call of Duty: World at War

Its an alright game. I had the Multiplayer Beta and i kinda liked it. But its nowhere NEAR as good as Cod4 Moder Warfare.. I mean, I think we made the end of WW2 games.. Now more Modern! lol.

But the game has a good fps rate and the zombie mod is addictive.

Re: Call of Duty: World at War

Does it use the same system of spawning enemies unless you move pass a trigger point in the map?

Is the zombie game also available in single player mode?

Is the game longer in single player mode than CoD4?

How is the game online, better, same, worse than CoD4 and why?

I have only just bought this through steam yesterday...So i can only answer the first part so far..

Yes it does use a spawning system which requires either the objective is achieved or your pass certain parts of the level.

Re: Call of Duty: World at War

Damn, I hate that. It damages the whole experience/realism for me.

CoD series haven't ever been about realism, only about intensive action..

I can now answer that question... I have just completed Solo Mode and its definitely shorter than Modern Warefare.

Even on Recruit the difficulty Level this offers compensates for the length...Perhaps in a way to disguise the length a little..
