I'm shocked there's not a single review for this game floating around the net. All I've found is the 10/10 from Xbox Magazine, does anyone have scans from that issue?

This will be my first Fallout game. I loved Oblivion so my hopes are high

At least here the game isn't out yet. It's the second (IIRC) game ever that I pre-ordered so I hope it will be as good as Fallout 1 at least. (prefer Fallout 2 to 1).

I have watched some gameplay videos from the game and I was impressed. It looks what I would have in mind a first person view Fallout game would look like. I have high hopes for the optional turn based? combat system, but I won't know for sure till I get the game. I am not entirely sure how movement is dealt with when in this mode. In real time the clips were a bit chaotic IMO.

Damage to the enemy looked fantastic.

If there is one company that can make a great 3D RPG, they are it, so I hope they will deliver.

The only things that stop me from feeling too optimistic are the smaller game world and how good the battle system is when not in real time.

The survival edition was only for Amazon US only if I recall. Lucky buggers.

Forgot to mention that I picked mine up today... a day early. Got the collectors edition for the PC before I came to work, and the fact that I have to wait 5 more hours to play it is killing me.

Yep, Amazon US, and apparently they're refusing to ship it to the UK. The annoying thing for me is that my days off areTues/Wed so 28th and 29th. On the 31st when it comes out here I'm going to see Quantum of Solace and I'm going to a charity Bond night the following night, so I won't get to play it until Sunday evening at the earliest!

I don't remember when it was the last time I was so anxious about a game. It will probably be here on Saturday or Monday even with Amazon speed. I could cancel the pre order and get it from the local GAME shop, but for the collectors edition (PC) that would mean an extra £10 to the 30s from Amazon.

Must resist the urge to purchase this game with money I don't have. The reviews are very enticing, but I don't even have the time to complete FarCry 2 right now.
Then again, it's been quite a few years since I've turned down a Bethesda game.

What's this I hear about Starforce, are all editions of the game using it? I kinda thought that the Starforce had gone belly up after all the critisism and horror stories a while back. I'll have to wait a bit to have time for this game anyway though.

Yea, its like KOTOR and Mass Effect but it a lot better done.

You don't have to use it and death scenes actually look really good and fluid when u splatter someones head or rip their arms off.

Also some more cool FYI, I don't have my 360 and don't have Xbox Live Gold but the achievements in my PC version count towards my gamertag.

Fallout 3 is one of the most hyped games this year so it is with much anticipation that we finally have a review sample in our grubby little mitts. This sequel has been created by developers Bethesda who were responsible for the awesome Oblivion series. Fallout 3 is a standalone title so you won't need a knowledge of the franchise to play. Is the game creative or just an Oblivion clone set in a different time zone?
