E.T. for the Atari. You spend a while wondering what you are supposed to do while falling down holes you can't see. Although there is a way to win. It isn't worth your time.. Guess that is why there is a landfill pile of just this game. And my parents bought 2 copies of this game ...
Wow a good portion of the games listed had brilliant ideas for gameplay, just bad overall implementation. For example TMNT and Ghostbusters, both incorporated concepts that allow the player the freedom to roam around the major issue was the gameplay mechanics and lack of a real story. If these issues were fixed I bet these games would have been awesome. Especially considering what they produced as game sequels. I think more thought went into TMNT and Ghostbusters than the rest of the games for their franchise. (Ones Currently Released: Disregarding GhostBusters 2008/2009 )

1. Fantastic 4 for the PS One
2. Sonic the Hedgehog (2006) for PS3 - I returned this to the rental store within 5 mins because the framerate was so slow and the game was so childish
3. Rainbow Six for PS One
I can't recall genesis games that sucked, I was too young to remember some of them.
Most overrated games to me
1. Halo 1 PC (not the XBOX version of course)
2. Doom 3 (both these games bored me to sleep after I finished 50% of the story, and I just uninstalled it)
3. GTA Vice City (great game, but it was GTA3 with a more cinematic touch. The City itself was a lot smaller. San Andreas is by far the biggest leap and my favorite).

A game called Braindead 13 on the original Playstation. I even paid $50 bucks for it. I think I was the one who was braindead for buying it.

Runescape.
While I played a bit of one of the Zelda CD-I games and it was much worse gameplay-wise, at least it had lulz value. Runescape is just pure boring compressed into game form.
Some other runners-up include Ken's Labyrinth (proof that being a good programmer doesn't mean you'll be a good game designer) and Auto Assault.

A lot of games were crap but out of newer PC games id say the biggest crap iv played was Bioshock.
|
Oh man Mr retard. Come on I've played wackier games.Doom3 wasn't all that hot even though people made a big fuss. Bioshock was better. The only thing that bugged me about it was the games repetetiveness , but many games suffer from repetetiveness anyway. Take prey, call of Duty max payne, warcraft3, crysis, all good brilliant games. But game makers cant seem to escape that reality or whatever u wana call it. Black and white tried to put a new spin on games but ultimately you were always caught up trying to please your villagers (really annoying and repetetive) not to forget to mention the little tasks they made you do. Those pissed me off. Good game otherwise :-)

There was a game for the Amiga which was released many years ago which had the name: Diablo. I believe it's the worst game I've ever played.
