Assassin's Creed
I picked up Assassin's creed today for £27.99 from a local retailer on town, it was a bit of a bargain really, brand new
So far i'm really enjoying it, the game's been really fun and the gameplay also seems really fluid, the way the player's inexperience makes you feel responsible for the fiasco of the assassination at the start is pure genious imo.
Does anyone else here play Assassin's Creed? And if you do what do you think of it?
Btw if you haven't got it i would definately recommend going out to buy it, if you can find it cheap enough then do it, seriously it's awesome

I found it awesome and addictive until about halfway through but then it was getting repetitive, and it gets worse towards the end. Loved the historical setting of the main story, and while the higher settings demands a good system (especially CPU) it was perfectly playable here with a little bit of tweaking. My favorite fighting style was with the assassin dagger rather than the sword, though the latter was necessary sometimes. The character animations are beyond everything else I'v seen and helped to keep the action up in otherwise dull areas.

If I could afford it I would get it,probably for the 360. It looks very very nice.

I bought it for the 360 when it came out. A lot of people found it repetitive, although I loved it. The combat is awesome and challenging. The storyline is very different and very enjoyable too.

If i see a guard on his own i always assassinate him lol, atm i'm saving the last citizen (11/12 so far) in the poor district of damascus, i've found all the view points in this area and i think i've done 3 investigations so i can assassinate my next target.
Counter attacks ftw

The game is fun, though quite repetative. I like the SciFi take, but I think it was terribly executed and felt more annoying than anything that drove the story. I give the devs credit for trying to make something different.
I love the environment, it's second to none. If they varied the missions up a bit (and they really don't progress much from the first, saddly), and really made the city more of a "free roaming, GTA-esqu" feel, the game would be an instant classic. Still, I love the combat (throwing people from towers/roofs/cliffs), and the ability to get around the entire environment is fun and fluid. The sequal will be something to behold, I'm sure.

I loved it until the very end. The combat is great fun. Counter-killing a huge mob is awesome, and running from roof to roof and clib over everything never gets boring

While I agree I enjoyed it enough to beat it and was happy playing through all of it!

Not surprised you didn't. I had one look at the gameplay video and thought "I gotta play me some of that!"

I had everything cranked to max and never once experienced a slow down. But then i run crysis maxed as well so no surprised. Was expecting worse frame rates after reading the gamespot review though
Running a single 8800GT btw, so you dont need anything amazing
