Freezing up

For the last 6 times I’ve played quake online my computer freezes up after about 4 minutes and I can only restart it by turning the power off and on. I tried reinstalling the game and still freezing up and the screen has like lines on it, today I went into bios and it’s now doing it there? I think it's the Graphics card or I have got a virus, but nothing show up on my Norton? Any help to fix this problem would be greatly appreciated.

System Specs

If it's showing up in the bios interface then it's your graphics card. It could be a couple things, but my first impression is that it's overheating, so I'd check to see if the fan on it is clogged up, or that it is at the very least actually working.

BTW, for future reference don't forget to post your system specs. It makes things a lot easier to help you out when those things are mentioned at the start. In this case it would help to know what motherboard you have, and graphics card.

It's a Asus P5GC-MX Dual core Pentium D 3Mhz Nvidia 7600GT DDR3, was a bit grotty, took it out gave it a good cleaning now it crashes very couple of minutes. It's only 7 months old, still under warranty back it goes!
