iw3sp.exe problem please help

im getting this error when i start up Call of Duty 4, this is a demo i downloaded and i cant play it, please help guys

I use to get this error everytime, but after installing the 1.2, it went away. I thought they fixed that.

I think he means the 1.2 patch.

Stranger, i had the exact same problem

Do this.

Navigate to your install directory. for example

C:\Program Files\Activision\Call of Duty 4 - Modern Warfare

Locate the folder called miles. simply delete that folder.

your problems will stop, and you can play just fine.

I do however recommend you back that folder up by adding it to zip archive, then deleteing the folder.

i deleted that folder and i opened up cod4 the screen went black for a minute and then this popped up: and my directx is up to date, any help please?

guys i fixed it, there was 2 mssmp3, one mssmp3.bak and mssmp3.asi, so i detled asi, and it worked, sorry for trouble guys
