What new pc game? quakewars? cod4? ut3? or what?

I have a giftcard from cristmas and can't decide what the
best game to pick up atm... what would you suggest and why?

Either COD4 or Quakewars. You'll get TONS of mileage from both of them. They're just superb multiplayer games.

Btw, Crysis sucks!

Crysis multiplayer was pretty disappointing.

In my opnion though, I would choose COD4 for more action.

Quake wars is more like Battlefield with objectives instead of flags.

I guess it depends on what kind of FPS you enjoy more.

From the above, CoD4 is the best, but only if you don't mind a very short single player campaign and mostly focus on the multiplayer.

I would go with either the Orange Box or COD4. Both have excellent single and multiplayer games, really top class stuff.

I'd go with CoD4, it fits your system specs and has better online than the rest.

multiplayer is what matters most though I don't mind a good play through
if the single player is good but i useally go right to muiltiplayer!

COD4. I also got orange box. Portal is pretty clever. I wanted orange box for TF2, but I haven't had a chance to play it yet.

I would say Crysis, If your goin to get CoD 4 get it for 360. Orange Box is a great deal.

Quakewars and UT3 will drop in price faster than the rest.

orange box, tons of stuff, i was tf2'ing earlier today, good fun
cod4, played at friend's, good sp & apparently good mp, but not arcady
etqw, like BF but arcady & fun
ut3, is the low mp count improving? the movement feels so awkward

that was about the order of preference, even though i dont own cod (& only have ut demo)

prefer OB the most since it isnt the same old rough military shooter (though i do enjoy those too, i also own 2142 & enjoy it & its similarities with etqw)

i've played them all and they are all good, but for online i think unreal tournament 3 is the best plus it works really well on computers which aren't great. the only thing i don't like about it is they got rid of invasion mode which was my favourite in 2004

crysis wouldn't be a good idea with your system specs, and it isn't that good near the end. multiplayer gets boring too

orange box would also be a great buy, it has loads of stuff to keep you occupied for ages

Crysis is more of a technical achievement if your more of the person that hasn't played a game in a while and can handle it. I wasn't particularly impressed with the gameplay too too much. Kinda slow (or because it rapes my system all the time). UT3 is extremely fast paced as often but I haven't tried online yet to judge which I want to. I have Cod4 for PS3, too much fun offline and online, but if millitary shooters are not your thing stay away. Orange Box I have no idea, but the deal is sick and with portal I heard its amazing!

too many choices damn... and don't forget gears of war!

I've played some demos and the problem is the new shock rifle to too easy to "shock whore"
aka run around and shock ball, shoot it so it explodes to kill your opponents. I dunno If thier
new cheats like the clasic shock whore hacks. But a Guy I played in the demo was wasteing
everyone that way. The only way you could survive is be so close, and after a few seconds
hes found his way far enough away to be able to shock kill you.

crysis seemed fun but if they allow those suit features in mp it'd seem kinda gay I think....

i would say cod4 for mp mostly (still good sp, but short), or orange box for good singleplayer (portal is fun), and tf2 which is more of an arcade shooter compared to cod4..

Well i WOULD tell you Rainbow 6 Vegas, if the multiplayer had been supported a tad more. So I would say go with CoD4. Very fun, fast paced gameplay, albeit not much teamwork. You can strategize your team, but its rambo run and gun at its most fun!
