Senor_Mota's "Old-School Gamers" Thread!!

If you're anything like myself, you enjoy playing HALO 3 or Call of Duty 4 as much as you like playing Alex Kidd and Galaga. So indulge me in your current "old-school" fix by listing title, platform, difficulty and maybe even a high score or ranking in said game (if you're not afraid!). Let me start it out:

Currently playing:
Vectorman(Genesis). High Score in "Wicked" difficulty - 594,660.
Alien3(SNES). High Score in "Hard" difficulty - 4,315,060.
Knuckles: Chaotix(Sega 32X). High Score - 652,000.
Soul Calibur(Dreamcast). Survival mode in "Hard" difficulty - 72 wins.
Galaga '90(Turbo Grafx 16). High Score in "Hard" difficulty - 503,890.

Let me know your best!

I conquered the whole planet as France by 1914 once in Colonial Conquest (SSI)
Started at 1880. I don't mean it was the only time I did it, but it sure quick.
By the end of the game I had about 9,000 ships and close to 90,000,000 troops. Though the largest army had only about 8 million.
I didn't keep the score (the game has score system too), but beat the above! All settings with AI at level 5.

Currently playing through Jets'n'Guns (Gold), it's from 2004 (for PC), but it's a side-scrolling shooter, worth checking out if anyone particularly likes the gametype.

Started on hard mode, which is really insanely difficult, am only pushing through maybe a level every few days, since I'm just playing between studying.

I'm a huge old school gamer, I still have a ton of console and games fome the 80's and 90's. Though I have them in storage for the most part, I now play them all via emulation with a Logitech game pad.

it's pretty amazing for the age/date/platform that game is on.

I have sega genesis on my phone, so I still play Sonic the Hedgehog. But my favorite classics, there are too many to name

-The main Sonic the Hedgehog 1-3, S&K, 3DBlast
-Earthworm Jim 1&2
-Ultimate Mortal Kombat 3 (especially the arcade version)
-Megaman X
-Beavis and Butthead
-Alladin for Genesis
-Daytona USA (bring it back with Xbox Live!)
-Killer Instinct (bring this back on 360 also MS!)
-Outrunners

Well!!! It sounds like quite a few of you still game it up "old-school". It's surprising, because the arcade scene is essentially dead and most people play emulators to get in their "old-school" fixes.

BTW, the Tilt arcade where I live in Boise just got closed down a few weeks ago - they said it was due to "poor sales". They had a Virtual-On dual stick cabinet, DrumFreaks, Golgo 13: Sniper Elite and Gauntlet Dark Legacy with my all Level 99 characters profile on it...

But enough malaise!!! Here's the current games I'm cracking at!

Sonic the Hedgehog 2(Genesis). High Score - 834,020.
Mortal Kombat: Championship Edition(SNES). High score in "Hard" difficulty - 1,234,070.
Pandemonium!(PSX). Beat the game in "Insane" difficulty.
Guardian Heroes(Saturn). Beat the game in "Hard" difficulty (which is sooooooooo effin' hard! 3 continues!).

Keep the "old-school" flow going!!!

Probably one of my favorite gaming consoles of all time. I would rank in the top five video game consoles ever conceived. Check it out here. I asked because there's a rad little Asteroids clone on the Odyssey called U.F.O.!. My bad.
