Suggestion: Game Hype threads. (Leading to, previews)

Hi all,

I was going to email the big Z with this but I wanted to gauge everyones reactions and willingness to contribute (And I'm sure he'll see this soon enough!

), as I think this is the next step needed here to take our Gaming Heaven section to the next level.

If anyone has heard of, or is a regular as Neogaf would know what "Hype threads" are, they are basically threads made up to around a month before a release of a game, containing all the known info about it, preview info, screenshots, movies etc, as well as release data and such, it is also a great bellwether to see what interest in a game is like, and helps keep the community informed of upcoming releases.

"How this can take GH further?" I hear you cry, simple, at the moment, GH is becoming more and more known as a very good review site, great stuff, however, there is still the other side of the coin we still can tap into, previews, this is the first step, if we can show that we have people here who are interested in tracking games through their dev cycle, then publishers will start giving access to previews to GH, end result, GH becoming a complete gaming site, news, reviews, previews.

So I throw it open to you (Especially you, Zardon), think we should give it a shot? or am I a bit of a loon?

Whenever a popular game is released someone will start a thread about it. These might be a couple of pages long or go on forever (like the Oblivion threads). I think this is the most natural way to go about it and creating threads for games that DH'ers don't care about will just make the gaming section all cluttered.

Just my 2 cents.
