Steam & Call of duty Backup problem.

Ok i currently have all my games backed up onto dvd's with no problems at all..But when ever i try to back up the Call of Duty series onto dvd as i would expect them to be..The Auto run files etc are missing.Which means i don't get the "Restore The Backup Files to steam" splash screen that auto starts. And can not re-install the data from the dvd.All my games are backed up to save a huge amount of time downloading them from steam.

so the backup will not install from the dvd.I am simply forced to download all the files via the net.

Is the a problem with this or is the something im missing?

As i just recently bought the quake pack via steam a couple of days ago, these have been backed up with no problem.

Anyone know of a solution..By the way this series was bought via steam.

I have Call of Duty as well via Steam. I could try to back it up and see if it does the same thing for me if you want. Did you select to back it up as a single-layer disc?

It's a 16x Dual layer dvd-rw which supports both - & + dvds.The dvds are single layer.

Im not asking you to go out the way for me..

It's Call of Duty inc United Offensive.Call of Duty 2. Steam places the backup files into the folder with no problem. It's once it's burned to the dvd it fails.

Quicker to post a screenie than list them all individually.

Everything appart from the cod series backs up fine.

I got the same problem. Try just copying the following files in your Call of Duty Backup folder before you burn the disc.

autorun.inf
steam.ico
steambackup.exe

You can get those files from any other backup as they are all the same.
