how do you store your gamepads?
I have a big box. the box contains 4 xbox controllers, 4 360 controllers, 2 ps2 controllers and 4 n64 controllers.
how in the world am I suppose to store all of these? They get tangled and messy and damaged being in there.
I want a more elegant solution. Are there any cases out there for controllers? Are there any racks or whatever?
I know that theres the armory rack for wall mounded controller storage but I don't like that so much.
Any other ideas?

I've done the same as you gemini...they're stashed in a basket under my tv stand. And, they still work fine. I still like to pull out the old snes from time to time.

I guess I just wish there was an established case with little slots for each controller. with the basket I have to arrange things carefully so they all fit neatly. :-\

Any controller that had wires,
I take the length of my hand worth of wire straight out of the controller, then the rest wraps around it. This is so that the wires coming directly out of the controller do not get bent and remain straight so they don't get broken down the road. Then i set them all in a entertainment system cupboard.

yea thats how I wrap mine too. cept for the xbox controllers. they're such beasts it doesnt matter. but for the fragile ones like the playstation and nintendo controllers, they get wrapped up.
actually its funny...most solid controllers I've ever used were original xbox controllers...

I don't know, i've yet to ever see a broken nintendo controlller....
where as XboX ones i've come across several broken... some that even look fine but are no working anymore... Course the kids using them were known for using various objects as numbchucks and weird baseball bats...

This isn't exactly 'elegant' but it's cheap and does the job:
It's just a shoebox, but, you might stop by the local office supply store and pick up a sturdier large card file box that's about the same size and a little deeper than a shoebox. that way, you can even put the lid on it and use the adjustable file holder to keep the gamepads from flopping around.
If you want Elegant, here's the way to go:

The shoebox sounds like the best easy solution.
As for what I do with them (2). The PC one I have it in a closet, not using it at all. The Xbox 360 controller I have it on the Xbox 360 itself.
