Rebel scum?
Last week or so is Star Wars heavy for me. Playing most of the modern Star Wars games and having a great time.
I even finished for the first time the Galactic Conquest campaign (the largest one) for SW Empire at War as the Galactic Empire. Also finished Jedi Knight Jedi Academy. One common thing I noticed was how it felt right playing as the Empire. It felt like the Rebel Alliance is indeed nothing more than scum of the galaxy, that just want power, where the Empire wants the good of the galaxy and peace among the planets.
Anyone else agree with me?

I got the same feeling in some StarWars RTS a few years back. It was the only thing that kept me playing the drab game.

Good to see there are no rebel supporters around. Sense the loss of the emperor it's starting to feel like they run the place...

I am in the middle of a Rebel campain (SW Empire at war) and though I am doing fine, it just feels wrong. Yes, I LOVE how Nebula B frigates look, and it is always fun to control the Millenium Falcon, but still...
After I finish this campaign I will start a new with Empire at hard.
Oh, funny thing, SW Republic Commando does not work under XP, but works under Vista.

Time for a new Tie Fighter sim.
Hell, how about a Privateer/Freelancer type game based in the Star Wars universe? It would be a wet dream come true... um.. for Star Wars fanboys... not me... I'd like it... not in that way.. to play.. ah shi*...

I remember there is a mod for Freelancer transforming the game to Star Wars.
But, I agree, it would be great to have a free form Elite style game in the Star Wars universe.

I reinstalled Jedi Academy in anticipation of the total conversion mod "Knights of the Force" but it seems it's not even coming out for..well, a while.
