Well I haven't installed it yet but first surprise is that the download size is quite small (445mb). Can't wait for this

m trying to download the 'stalker beta' but all i get is this screen to enter a auth code from a picture.

If it does not appear, or if you only see the message "invalid code", your computer is blocking the image from appearing. This problem may be caused by either a firewall or certain Ad-Blocking software. Please adjust your security settings to allow this image to be displayed.

All i see is 'the' INVALIDCODE picture...

I've tried using firefox and ie7 but still nothing.

Does anyone have a non-fileplanet mirror for this? For some reason I cant get past the S.T.A.L.K.E.R. Key Auth Delivery Key Distribution screen in IE (just keeps displaying "Invalid Code") and in firefox, although I can progress past that screen non of the javascript download links work despite having all pop-up blockers, firewalls etc turned off

I believe a hardware firewall could cause issues as well.
And just to ease things up for those of you that got the key:
In the game if it tells you that your CD-Key is invalid, don't forget to hit enter after entering it!

for once in my life i thought i was being lucky for once! im tempted to go back to windows xp just to install this game, at the moment im running vista ultimate 32 if anyone experience the same problem please let me know i was reading the beta forums and i couldnt find no solution for it

Ive been looking at this game for about 4 years I think since one of my friends showed me their beginning website, and looking through the weapons and zones. I remembered seeing the page describing this unknown presence out by a church or something and that nobody knew what was going on. We had discussed whetehr or not it would have multiplayer coop or if it would just be single player, Hopefully theyve done a good job with this.

- ack the other thread is closed, and I have work from 12pm EST to 8:30pm

hopefully I can get off for lunch to run home and enter for key.

Strange the mirror validation worked on windows x64 vista here the only problem i had was finding a decent fileplanet mirror to download it off. Try clearing the cache and other varibles. Sorry i can't be of more help.

can any one get this damn game to run decently? i swear it runs like absoulte crap on my system.... if im lucky i break 30fps. im normaly some where around 18-20...

I didn't have fraps running when I played but on my AMD 2800+, 9600xt 1 GB ram I was surprised that the game played smoothly

ive got all shadows and lighting turned off now. 1024x768, all other details maxed. my fps is all over the place, 20 all the way upto 90.

lowering the detail didnt seem to make much of a diffrence so i just left it maxed.

holy god, the performance just gets worse and worse the longer i play. i just about went insane trying to play in MIMIMUM SETTINGS and getting 8, i shit you not, 8 fps.
