dunno how the PC version will be but the PS2 and xbox version sucked IMO. Control was horrendous. It was like *click* OK now you can move snake but can't control camera then *click* OK now you can move camera but not snake. then *click* again and you're back to snake but no camera. Talk about outdated and soooooooo frustrating after playing ALL modern shooters where you can strafe, shoot and look around at same time. That was my biggest gripe. control scheme. Second would have to be the length of the cinematics. I bought it to play not watch. Third would have to be very sub par graphics. I had it hooked up on my 34" toshiba via s-video and it looked like crap. Anyhow, just my $.02....

Yep even extreme no radar is pretty easy

And d*mn what games have you been playing if you think MGS2 has one of the best storys. Try playing FF6-7,chrono trigger/cross and deus ex, and thats just a few.

mgs2 way more down to earth than ff7, and shuki u loser this is not a shooter, its a sneeking game. if ur a quake player your opinions on how mgs2 should be a shooter is not wanted. I jus want to know when its coming out. splinter cell u cant strafe, complain about that game, the camera needs too much movement at times. and toshiba tvs suck.... get ur opinions straight and face the facts of metal gear.

MGS 2 will look very similar to how it did on the Xbox.

It's the exact same thing too. No Multiplayer support whatsoever.

If you've played the console version's then why are you so hyped to play the same exact thing on a PC???

BTW - There are too many games to mention that are better than MGS 2.

Simmer down guys, lets keep this on a friendly basis.

In any case, the release date, as far as I know, has yet to be announced. It may be on some gaming sites such as gamespot or ign though, hidden within all of the articles.

no hard feelings.... yea its out and has tons of bugs. as i heard over at isonewz, it has problems on anything non-nvidia. and mgs1 fucks up on my mx440 but works perfect on my old rage. sold that rage for 10 bucks to a friend who has no life but cs.... lol. kid dropped out school for cs, think hes in cal- i maybe. but yea.... konami did a fucking horrible job on porting this, i heard there still parts where it says to press X lol! i heard also that another group will fix it up and compress it more, last time konami left all sounds in god damn wav. really really stupid. i can understand that the install maybe large, but comon massive video issues? im not touching this game even though its my favorite game in the whole world unless theres a demo. and since i like it i might buy it if all goes good.

I dunno, personally, I think MGS1 was way better than MGS2.

Sure, MGS2 has nice graphics, but it seemed to fall into that "graphics
is glory" route.. The story itself kinda lacked.

Plus, it had .. whatever the "main character" is as the main character..
Metal Gear = Snake.

I'm actually looking for someone that has MGS1.. but no one seems to
have it, even for psx. argh.

mgs 1 was sick, i still play it. I think lots of elements they had were better... but MGS2 the story seems far more serious and clearly see its leading into part 3. MGS1 it felt more finished but once we heard ocelot it gave us a strong feeling of a sequel... if u didnt skip the ending. MGS2 see it in the cinematic and the statement "They've been dead for 200 years" (the patriots. But cmon MGS2 some stuff was clearly better... I find both equal, but it kinda did annoy me where raidan was the whole game when u saw snake on the cover, snake in the previews snake snake snake. i hope next time if they do have raidan to at least allow u to switch between both

Playing as Raiden (I was going with Rayden in my other message,
but gimped it as I forgot if it was that or not) kinda turned me off..
He seemed more as a "Hot-Shot" trying to "look good" infront of
Snake and the team.. it just didn't feel right when playing with him..

I do hope that if they decide to bring in a new character, they give
a choice.. Even if they neuter Snake and don't give him any "cool moves,"
i'd still use him.. Let's look at Splinter Cell.. the only thing i practically
do is knock people out.. then again, i take my damn sweet time going
through levels..

If they brought MGS1 back w/ MGS2 graphics.. I'd really enjoy that..

Which is why i'm still looking for MGS1 for the PC.. gahha.

i have mgs1 for pc BUT i burned it and would have to convert it to ISO format.i hve mad problems wit it on my mx440 but never once wit my old rage fury pro. wierd... raiden's not bad, i didnt mind using him but it was like how could HE fight metal gear without real experience like snake. hes kind of a pussy in a way and stayed that way the whole game. it would of been good to be able to use raiden and snake at the end so u can fight fortune and RAY. and have a choice when ur in arsenal giving u alternate endigns like last time. sons of liberty was missing the training and stuff which is in substance but substance come out later making people wait and KINDA lost interest. overall MGS2 is the greatest game ive played which is not too time consuming, has a really good lasting appeal and replay value just the game was kinda short. but not frustrating like splinter cell at times. and once u finish the game, what the hell u gonna do then nothing else to do or get where MGS2 u can
