DH Review: Civ City
Read the review here
___________________
CivCity shares its name with one of the PC’s best franchises – Civilization. Despite this fact, the game was not created by Firaxis, but by Firefly studios, the authors of the popular strategy game Stronghold. The design of the game reflects this, as it bears a striking resemblance to all of the Stronghold games. There is nothing wrong with that, but at times I wished Firaxis had more input on the game design. As it is, the only connection between this game and Civilization is the name and some little tidbits like the civilopedia.

dont bother Richy - I bought the game a few weeks ago, and there are more bugs in it than a south africian tourists jockstrap.
Wish I had read this a while ago, I read a crap review on gamespot or somewhere like that and they said it was good, so I wasted money based on that review.
Wish you guys did more game reviews, they are great.

One of the worst games ever that I still kept playing, simply because I really felt like a game of this genre. It's so technically weak that patches won't help it much. Firaxis must feel ebarrassed about the affiliation.

Best looking review I've ever seen. It's a shame that they are ruining this game.

love the review design z! thx for the headsup to along with the comments in this thread i wil definetly not be getting this title.
civ4 warlords will keep me busy for awhile. it is overpriced for what it offers, but if you are a civ4 player you pretty much want to have it.

I have a review for civ 4 warlords on the way
As always Zardon did an amazing job with this review (of course I thought his Chromehounds design was good too so what does my opinion matter ).

I watched my girlfriend play this game a few days ago, looked very very boring.

although not the best game ive ever played by a long shot, i enjoyed it quiet a bit, if you like this whole style of game (and its a bonus if you were a stronghold fan) you may like it.
as for the review, i found it a little harsh, and the screen shots dont do the game justice, just from the shots, it looks like they are taken from one of the first few lvls of the game. (lets be honest, it needs the best screens possible to attract most of the graphics fan boi's, you know, the ones that put graphics above gameplay )

I may have been harsh, but the game deserved it. Like I said in the review, it is a fun game to play if you like this type of strategy games, but overall the game is buggy, oversimplified and gets boring after a while.
I'm hoping that Cesar 4 will deliver what CivCity failed to.
