Ironically Nintendo's official website has changed over a few times that oventually the information is so-so.
On my game, my selection screen said Donkey Kong, there was no jr. after it.
However the apparently there are way more super mario kart games sold with the final revision then the previous.
i've a few games that are even much more current and much older that have many many revisions of the same game that you'd never know enless you compared and contrasted let alone played through them all to see.
For example, i've a revision of a MegaMan 4 game that is rare, the only problem is that it's one of the first revision which included a few bugs/or tricks that could be done to either make the game more easily beatable or hard. Or just weird.
Super metroid, i've a later revision, it introduced additional "bugs" that actually make the game a hell of alot more fun if you can figure them out.
Metroid Prime, there are so many versions of this game it's rediculious. To bad all of NA have 3 version, all of which suck making this game built for "easy"ness. The Japaneese/European (2 version for jap and 1 for euro) are a hell of alot better, more features/extras better graphics and slick abilities that are impossible to obtain on the NA release. What i'd give to get a copy of the Euro v2 metroid prime.
There are revision in which names are changed, texted is fixed, skins/textures are replaced or changed, enhancements are additional options are granted.
I haven't found information on the super mario Kart version i've got, but my version stickly shows on the selection screen, Donkey Kong.

He is right on that and i totally back him up, there are huge differences in some versions of gamecube games, namely different regions ones (pal/ntsc), in gameplay and in graphic details. |

not really I've never had much of a interest in console gameing since the days when you got your games came as a book and carefully typed many, many pages of code to play a generic game. Basically programming them for your self?....
IMO console gameing doesn't count.... to easy... way to easy...
there is NO AI that eqils real figting between real people and consoles barely scrach the surface of multiplay gameing that pcs been swimming in for so long...
