Good game, i played the mod abit and it just felt a lil "clunky" if you will, after they won the make something unreal contest they got the rights to the actual engine and the game plays much better now, its fun but be warned it is at a much slower pace than the other ww2 shooters on the market and reqires patience, but a well put together and as realistice as possible, especiallly the tanking. There has already been one major update with a new gun and map and another is coming around the free weekend time. Check it out, its definatly in a leauge of its own.

Well it's almost time (not spamming, just a reminder), also, it's expected it may be a "TK fest" due to new players not being familiar with the uniforms, maps etc, so be patient. Generally speaking, RO players are serious about the game and play more carefully than typical run and gun shooter players are. There are now some training videos linked on the game's main page to help familiarize yourself with gameplay/controls, I highly recommend them. http://www.steampowered.com/index.ph...=roFreeWeekend ggs, all.

I played this today, what a piece of shit. This game is a mix between battlefield 1942 and being blind.
I was already excited starting the game up. Another world war two shooter? Oh boy! Here comes originality!
I could see enemies in the distance. I don't have a crosshair? Ok no problem I'll bring up my iron crosshairs. Hey! Now there's a big gun in the way! I wasn't able to use the crosshairs effectively until I was much closer than my eyes would spot enemies. That's frustrating.
So I made a spit wad and stuck it to the middle of my monitor. Ok, now I have a crosshair. Ok, now the game is like every other ww2 realism shooter in existence.
Uninstalled.
There's too many good games out to waste my time with this one.

very odd controls and game play
Tried it today the controls are crazy ! followed no FPS standard example you fire a bolt action weapon a real person would chamber the next round ASAP no here you need to click the mouse to get your player to reload large maps movements are like slow and fake looking like a 1980's game the graphics are bettween COD and Day of Defeat good thing no crosshairs but views with a scoped weapon are odd as well you see in the scope than you see everything around the thing for 26.00 bucks save your money PS dont see them making much on a free demo the BOX looked Better

Thanks for trying the game. Your opinion is yours, mine is mine. I love the game, I'm so very glad I tried it and made up my own mind. I've always found the best place to find out about any game, is that game's forums, where people post the good, the bad, and the ugly (as it were). ggs.

Tried it myself yesterday....... i'm another one who don't like it.It's just to dull.
Mind you i'm not one for online gameplay personally which might be part of the reason.
