DH Review: Fight Night Round 3 - Xbox 360
Andy has just gone 8 rounds with Ali and has came away with a few broken teeth and a black eye.
"Any Xbox 360 owner should expect a certain standard for the graphics in a next generation game, and even though EA owns exclusive gaming rights it hasn’t prevented them from presenting us with an amazing looking game. The most impressive aspect hands down is the character detail. The models are intricately detailed down to every last muscle. As a match progresses, you can clearly see their faces looked fatigue, cuts begin to open, and their punches begin to slow down. Removing the HUD helps you notice the little details in your fighter’s behavior, adding a realistic touch that couldn’t be achieved otherwise."

I have been considering getting this for a while. Tried the demo from Marketplace and I was really impressed. Seems like full game is worth getting, thank's for a great review and maybe I'll see you in the ring.

Good review, I remember playing this game a good time ago at my local gamestop. Totally wrecked shop on my friend, but that's beside the point. Many hours and druken nights playing fight night 2 on ps2 with my cousin.
I still recall the blister on the thumbs from the joysticks *shivers*

Well I just rented it today and I played it for one match with my brother and put the controller down. I never really like boxing games and they just did not do it for me. I think it looks cool and my bro loves it. I rather watch other people play this game.
P.S. Zardon don't you think it's a big tough on the controller??? lol I was watching everyone pound the crap out of them pushing all those buttons really fast...

mm I cant say i played any of the other versions but this one, I think if you stick with the control for 30 minutes you actually forget the buttons you are pressing, its all fluid, smooth and actually it works very well imo. I dont pound the buttons at all to be honest, most of the punching movements should be with the analog movement pad ..... right ?

I was the exact same when I first picked it up. I tried picking the game up and doing a quick match and just got rocked. I tried a career and I just got beatdown without a clue on how to do a thing. I played for about 20 minutes my first night and just put it down after that. What you need to do is find the sparring tutorial in the training menu and go through all of the lessons, it'll teach you how to make use of the total control fighting system

Yeah maybe I should try that! I just never like spending the time to have to learn how to play. Most of the games that I love are the same style every time, Like FPS.

Someone rented this at the store where my son works and has his XBOX 360 hooked up to a 62 inch HDTV.
I didn't play it, but watched a replay of a match between my son's character and one of the store owners. I was amazed at how closely they were able to create characters that resembled their true appearances. WOW!! I didn't have to guess which one was which.
BTW, my son won by a knock out.
