Omg Its A Breakthough! Enable Some Of The Next Gen Content In Tombraider Legends !
I have made a breakthough with no performance loss what so ever with some of the next gen content enabled
I will get some pictures very soon...
for now here is how you do it
open your reg with the regedit command and go here :
HKEY_CURRENT_USER > Software > Crystal Dynamics > Tomb Raider: Legend > Graphics
You will see a lot of options in here i havent tested them all but the first one i did test was this :
DisableDinamicTextures: this was set to 1 so i changed it to 0 to enable it
and WOW what a diffrence LOL
go see you will see there is no performance loss what so ever
am i the first to find this ????? lol either way WOW....
(NOTE TO USERS : these wont work unless you have a HDR + PS3.0 support.
i havent tested it with other cards but it may or may not work for X8xx users but you can try it even if your ingame next gen content is greyed out* at your own risk though*
WOW guys ok pictures coming soon.
i will also test out other settings soon to see if i can enable much more with out the performance KILL lol

Must be something that isn't getting enabled... Real HDR or something must be the killer...

Ok here is what is killing peoples systems with next gen enabled
all that changes in the reg is use shader 2.0
here is how to make the game look awsome, to enable dynamictextures change the entry to 0
and to enable PS3.0 change it from 0 to a 1 then start your game.
you will see the quality is doubled without any performance loss what so ever.
also HDR with next gen off doesnt get enabled either even if you have a card that it works with, so without next gen you cant get it enabled UNTILL NOW that IS
just change PS3.0 from 0 to 1 and you will get the HDR Lighting and turn Dynamic textures on to get high flush floors and walls
the only thing i can notice that isnt enabled is the HIGH NVIDIA shadowing Method used on lara
who cares about that, normal shadows on her look sweet anyway lol
give it a try dudes you will be impressed lol
i know Zardon will be

More Quality:
change this setting : DontDeferShaderCreation from 0 to 1
this setting stops the game from generating low pixel defer, to keep it real and unchanged
also change this setting
UseD3DFPUPreserve change 0 to 1, to use Full Precision D3DFPU
all in all with everything you can see the quality has JUMPED in to steller graphics that surpass x360 with O PC Performance LOSS its like no next gen performance on the pc WOOOT
here is another pic with this setting enabled aswell as the others
-----------------------------------------------

I made a mess up on this picture lol i resized it twice so add 2% extra quality lol :P
look at the lighting and textures on the floors and walls

havent tested it, no. but im looking at your screenshots, there are massive differences in your images some of them dont seem to using all the next gen content and one or 2 dont seem to be using HDR either.

hmmmm?
you need to detail exactly the settings you are using to take those screenshots, you have made 3 or 4 posts and im not sure what options you are toggling on and off for each screengrab...... I know one of the settings you are using is definitely killing HDR, its not apparent on at least one of your screenshots.

well with next gen off.
PS3.0 was disabled aswell as high dynamic textures, and im guessing HDR is in with that
enableing those seperatly workes for me....
obviously there are things missing if we enabled them all there would be serious slowdown.....
im makeing the game look way better here without any performance loss what so ever
its like nextgen off with more quality added.
some people are just not happy lol

no offense man but this is all too vague, its not that im not happy, I just know with a trained eye that there are quite a few things going on and off in your screenshots and to simply say there is "no performance loss" is quite misleading for people new to this who will start going into their registry and messing around with settings when they dont exactly know what they are doing. thats all im saying. its cool you are playing with settings but you need to accurately detail what you are doing and measure a specific and repeatable section with FRAPS before and after changes.......
