BF2 problem

Stuck
The problem is I can not get BF2 to really run - its like 4 seconds on and 4 seconds freeze frame. No crashes it just seems to freeze and go / freeze and go. ASUS32-MVP have spent the last 2 days trying to fix with no luck. Just wondering if someone might know something about this ? Drivers and updates are current and rig running stock? What it is / might be ? (Crossfire setup)

Thanks

Pretty much changed every part from cpu to you name it - it also does it on 2 other new demo games I tried. Man I really liked the board otherwise - No BF2 =RMA o well

i was lookin around totalBF2.com's forums and some guys said that he reapplied thermal grease to his cpu and he was a HUUUGE performance boost. I am gonna try it. My computer is in a little closed up compartment. I think it might be getting a little too hot or something..anyways I will try the thermal grease and see if there is any change.

OmegaRED has a spectacular aura aboutOmegaRED has a spectacular aura about
System Specs

Well dual core cpus have problems online does it only happen in multiplayer and not single player? You need to disable a cpu when online.

OMEGA RED!!! I haven't talk to you in a while! This is Kelani...you still play Spearhead?

BTW, I put my resolution in the target box in the shortcut and now I am getting alot better performance. The game is ALOT smoother! I put "+szx 1280 +szy 1024" at the end of the string in the target box on the shortcut on my desktop. That makes your in game resolution 1280x1024. I have no idea why is made a difference but it works! You can still change your video settings but the game is locked at that resolution until you take off the command.

you might be expierencing the punkbuster "bug" go to the pb site and download the latest version (1 came out a few days ago ) . then you log in ,join a game as soon as you spawn bring down the console (~) then enter "pb_sleep 500 ,then enter pb_writecfg .this took care of my hitching . and it is completely roe safe . there's a better guide on how to do it and what it does over at bf2s.com in the guides section in the forum
