ATI and Everquest2
Have freezing problems with Radeon x600pro playing EQ2
With new installed Omegadriver 6.3 it's a bit better, but still have VPU recoveries and black screen Anybody has a solution or a parameter setup? Any help is welcome that gets me from    to   manfred1311 |

Was thinking the same and tried it.
Result is immediate freeze or reboot Error message then is INFINITE LOOP, THREAD STUCK IN DEVICE DRIVER, after quite a lot of restarts, Windows "recovers" from a heavy error caused by ATI driver, offer solution 1. contact ATI (contacted many times, nearly always auto-responses like "check game updates, new drivers........wrote them all is brandnew and updated, no more response) customer service is not a strong side of ATI 2. decrease all Hardware acceleration (practically impossible, no game runs without it) |

it's an old problem
Still hasn't been fixed for more than a year. Switch back to 5.2 or previous ATI drivers (any would do. Omega, DH, or catalyst) Also, enable fast writes (if AGP) |
