UT2003 Server

Hi guys, not sure if i'm in the right place to post this but i'm thinking of putting up a server.But not sure if i should put up a UT2003,SOF II or GORE.Well guys if this sounds interesting, let me know with some feedback.So I can put one up for us to play on I have good bandwidth Thanks.

UT2003 would be a good option, jus' how good is that bandwidth? a MOHAA would be even better tho

Yes a UT2003 Server would be a blast, try out a few rounds of Double Domination, Bombing Run and DM of course. It's odd but with UT, CTF was my favorite gamestyle yet in 2003 I don't like it much at all.

A KOOL SERVER NEW JERSEY also here is the IP
67.83.79.14. Also let me know what do you guys like better DM,CTF and or BR Thanks and have fun by the way I go by the name of EXTERMINATOR.I will be putting in new maps in from time to time again lets all have fun.

MOHAA stands for Medal of Honour Allied Assault. If you haven't got it you're missing a real treat. Single player and multi-player are both excellent and we have another frag-fest planned.

Well guys, i just put in some new maps in and they are awesome.As far as mohaa goes i don't have that game and i never played it before.But either way we all go maybe i can get a copy or something,but if we go with UT2003 i can setup some CTF or BR for us to play.Well you guys make the time and day also the type of map and we are on.But whatever you guys want to do is fine with me to.I also voted

Well it's been open every time I've tried.

One problem misterman, could you provide a link for the new maps because the auto download is really slow for some reason, even with my 512k.

Well not sure how to make a link sorry, unless you guys can help me make or get a link.Also i would like to set it up in different catagories like map,music,sounds etc.That way you guys can download it and put it right into your directorys of ut2003.Thanks

Good job on the maps. I just played 2 minutes ago and nobody was there. The map was ok (think it was DM-F-something), but the bots where set at a minimal level. I'd suggest you throw in more available maps first. But if you need some file space for some of yours maps, i'd be glad to host them for a short period. So... who here is up for some UT2K3?

No i didn't modify my chrome_cp map, why if you have any problems getting in you have to delete that map from all the ut2003 directories.I allways have problems with that map chrome,so i just delete it from the directories see you in the game some time.

I jumped on for a while and took a too long downloading some maps. Just a dumb question since I'm pretty much a newbie to online gaming: Am I screwing up the game for other players by downloading the maps of your server rather than going somewhere else? Is it considered tacky? (Yes, I do worry about the stupidest things at times.

)

Valid question, something the server-admin should answer, but some people really don't like people getting maps off of servers because it hurts pings in the really big servers and the really slow servers..

Misterman87. To get more people playing your server and not lowering the average ping of it, i'd suggest not enable upload of files (on the server) and printing the list of maps that are in rotation. This way, we will know which maps to download.

Yeah, could you cut-n-paste the maplist from your .ini so we know what to download? I REALLY want to game with you folks, the idea of killing people I like just sounds like too much fun! (But I'll probably be getting fragged all the time writing out quick, two-page teamspeaks...it's what keeps me fragcount down.

EDITED BITS: Oh, heck with it! I WANNA PLAY! I figure if'n I download this one I should be covered for a while....right?

Not necessarily Digi. I've got all 4 map packs (about a gig or two worth of maps) and I still keep missing some maps and files. misterman87 must have included a lot of personal creations as well as lesser known maps.

EDIT : I've just uploaded Chrome_cp.utx to my webserver if anybody does need it. Rename the other chrome_cp.utx and put this new one in the same folder (.../unreal tournament 2003/textures). DOWNLOAD .
