How in the name of god is Miami's RB ahead of Jarry Johnson? COME ON! What the hell else does that boy have to do? He is only the 9th person in NCAA history to run for 2000 yards and broke the NCAA record for average yards per carry in a season!
Yes Larry had some bad games, everybody does. Even their precious McGahee had bad games and against worse teams than Johnson...
Bad Games:
McGahee:
UConn 117 all purpose yards
Johnson:
#2 Ohio State 98 All purpose yards
At least Johnson's worst game was against the #2 team in the nation! What possible excuse can McGahee have for UCONN of all people, seriously Miami's strength of schedule was a joke this year they played 1 or 2 good teams all year! (thank heavens for the BCS keeping that in mind)
Just because a player is on the #1 team in the nation does NOT make him the best player in the nation! A well balanced team of players can dominate teams with just 1 or 2 stars on them.
Then there is Ken Dorsey... the guy is "leader" of the #1 team in the nation, so what? His stats aren't that impressive period. He is 31-1? Again so what Heisman is SUPPOSED to be awarded to the best player in the nation in a particular SEASON NOT CAREER!
Sorry had to vent I'm just sick of the way College football is being run nowadays...
oh ESPN updated their polls today with Larry Johnson at #2, just 4 points behind Brad Banks He has a nice shot of actually winning it with all those 2nd and 3rd place vites now that the guys finally sat down to watch some highlights
Sports are a joke, they're fun to watch and play, but don't deserve the billions of dollars they get. High school ball is the last "un-corrupted" field of football, it's all about heart and spirit...not scholarships and money. Bah.
