I'll tell ya what pisses ME off....suck games. I hate the way PC games are now; FPS/Strategy/sim/multiplayer. I don't like ANY of those genre's and those make up the majority of games made for the PC. There's racing games, but how many of one genre of game can a person stand?

Whatever happened to FUN games? Shmups, cool platformers like Turrican, simple play-until-you-lose-all-your-guys games? And I don't mean homebrew types, I mean full productions of said games from the game companies?

I can hear you guys now.....BUY A CONSOLE. No, even the consoles seem to cater to FPS/Strategy/sim/multiplayer lovers and VERY RARELY anyone else.

Nintendo DS......filled with lame ass kiddie games and RPG's. I don't have time to play RPG's (not to mention I've played way too many of them in the past on the old C64 and I am quite sick of them) and I can only vomit on all the kiddie games. Where's 2D Metroid, F-Zero, Punch-Out, good fighting games.....you know "core" gamer games? Ooh, here comes another Mario game....BARF!

I'm an old-school gamer. I can't stand all these tedious (and ultimately boring to me) games that they make nowadays with all their micro-management or suck-ass keyboard & mouse ONLY controls. Yes, yes, I've heard it all before....KB&M is better than a game controller you say. Yeah, sure, for all the genre's of games I don't like anyway.

I understand I'm in the minority when it comes to my gaming tastes, but I just don't understand people's fascination with FPS games. GAWD I hate FPS's......they all seem the same to me; stare down the barrel of a gun and blast anything that moves or shoots back at you. Strategy games; BORING!, Sims; ditto the BORING.

Online gaming.....at least I can kind of understand why people go for that. I'm just not such a person.

If it wasn't for the buttloads of old games (made back in the day when games were FUN) that I have, I'd have nothing to play at all. But you know, I get tired of OLD games......
