OEM Toshiba AMD ATI, all psyakreff.
I need x1200m Windows XP Professional drivers for my ATI built in device.
I have a TOS SAT a215 7422.
Your ATI division does not support XP drivers for my built in device.
TOS does not support XP drivers for my device.
This is unacceptable
If you can not offer drivers for this, or develope a resolution with Toshiba, I will refuse to purchase any more Toshiba, AMD or ATI products. I will not recommend Toshiba, AMD or ATI products. I will go out of my way to discourage people from purchasing Toshiba, AMD or ATI products. When I go into a store to purchase a computer product, I will dissuade anyone who is looking to purchase Toshiba, AMD or ATI products. I will post this in every possible forum available so that others may see the frustrating situation you have helped to create.
I don't care what contracts you have with manufacturers.
I was a diehard AMD proponent, preferring AMD to Intel, but two things have changed my opinion.
1. The ATI driver issue not being resolved for those who don't like Vista.
2. AMD does not run HDDErase.exe (this may not be totally your fault, people writing programs for specific chips) But I still want the ability to wipe my drive using the secure erase command. So this is unfortunately a mark against you
I don't want possible corrupt or sub par drivers, with maybe rootkits, viruses, worms or what not.
I want the device manufacturer to support their technology regardless of who embeds it in their products.
You guys suck donkey dick and horse cock, and I hope you choke to death on the seamen.
If Vista is the end all and be all of OS's Why do so many Windows users, professionals in the computer industry, choose to stick with XP; Then why is Microsoft introducing Windows 2009/Windows 7 in 2009 (now 2010) if Vista doesn't have issues?
This is just one point about why people choose to stick with XP; Search google for "configure vista advanced firewall". Not to mention it isn't easy to find the Advanced Firewall in the first place. The last time I searched for this there was no information available, February 2008. I mustv'e read ten articles, and all describe its features and how better it is than the basic firewall. No usage instructions, not even in MS help and support.
Who are the dick wads that think this shit up.
When I bought my box with pistameoff, I developed some malware issues.
Not everybody supports Vista for Anti-malware solutions. Could not do a rootkit scan on Vista, maybe 1 scanner or 2, and the poorest ones at that.
And who is the bright ball licker who says that bluetooth is secure because it is short range.
Get yourself a usb bluetooth with dongle and change pcb adapter to mmc add 42db flatpanel antenna to recieve BT upto a 1/3 of a mile away.
I would like to thank all of the Bloodyfuckwits who made this rant possible and would like to end with these two words
SUCK IT

"If Vista is the end all and be all of OS's Why do so many Windows users, professionals in the computer industry, choose to stick with XP"
Because they are as ignorant as you are. Vista it the best yet from Microsoft and if you can't work with it, it's YOU, not Vista. I'm 62 years old and I get along with Vista quite fine thank you. If you spent a little more time educating yourself about Vista, instead of ranting like Donald Duck with this dick caught in his zipper, it would help.
As for ATI not supporting drivers for a Toshiba lappy, thats because TOSHIBA (and virtually every other lappy maker out there) wants it that way, not ATI.
Also if you had an IQ 2 ponts higher than a ROCK you could have found the MOBILItY DRIVERS that are around that would allow you to use the drivers from ATI on your lappy.
You would have had the same problem with an Intel/Nvidia combination. Quit throwing a tantrum liike a 2 yr old.
You take a perfectly good lappy with a damned fine OS, then fuck it up beyond belief, and it's AMD, and ATI's fault?!?!? You sir, deserve the dumbass of the year award. Do yourself a favor. Pack up that lappy in it's original box, and send it back to where you got it with a note explaining that you are just too stupid to be allowed to use a computer.
As for your SUCK IT comment at the end. You would be better off trying to do that to yourself. Because, if you have success, that's the only satisfaction that you are going to get.

The sticker on my "lappy" says ATI. It does not say Dell graphics, Toshiba Graphics, Gateway Graphics. The Graphics are advertised as belonging to ATI and they should have the drivers for it.
For the Realtek drivers I went to Realtek, for the AMD drivers I went to AMD, But I can't go to ATI for the video drivers.
Is it too much to ask for a company to stand by their product?
Vista is a bastard, it was originally XP like. MS decided to merge some of the Windows 7 developements into Vista, like WinFS(original:msfs). The kernel is XP, even though it says Vista. Vista doesn't have a totally new kernel until 64bit Vista.
Donk.
You should stop spending your Social Security on cheap hookers, the syphillis is getting to your brain; The money you would save could go towards your penicillin therepy.

It is when there is a contractual agreement between Toshiba and ATI. Or don't you believe in honoring your commitments?

Where in the hell did you come up with this bit of drivel? Your sister-in-laws, third cousins, boyfriends, gay lover that thought he saw a computer once, and is now considered an expert?

The only worthwhile thing you have said in this thread. It's at least a half way decent flame.
All the rest only serves to put you ignorance and stupidity on display for all to see. Much like the Jerry Springer guests. Clueless, ignorant, and damned proud of it.

Yes
Yes
Yes
and more
YES
I couldn't have said it better.
Will these tards that say vista sucks kindly go find a penis and chew it to a stump please?
You people that say vista uses too many resouces are retards, Vista uses memory that is sitting there doing absolutely nothing and in no way contributing to the os'es performance to speed itself up. GTFO and research.

it helps if you've got the processor power to back it up and 2gb of ram is a must for vista. Hence why 4gb of ram is a feasible option these days for pretty much anyone these days.
If vista sucks so much dick, why will everyone switch to it and praise it like xp in the next 2/3 given years?
Driver support sucks? WTF?!?1/!?!?!?!?!?!? Vista has the best driver support i've ever seen you tards. The windows update database has more drivers on it for vista than any generation of windows ever made before it.
Superfetch is on the list of features, it clearly says it uses free-memory to make applications and frequently used documents open faster.
I mean for christ's sake people stop being so closed minded and take your head out of your arse, you might even see a difference if you just stick with the friggin os for longer than 5 minutes.
BLAH!

My laptop has 1 gig of ram, I run vista Ultimate. No issues, at all, period.
The people that whine, are morons, have shitty laptops, or under spec their comp and use Vista anyway. If my HP dv9208 can run ultimate fine with 1 gig of ram....
Seriously people, get real. Vista is a good OS. It has SOME, just SOME, issues. So did XP so did 98, so did 95. So does Linux, so does OSX, so does Leopard. Every OS has SOME kind of issue. Times move, people go from a super elite 3 meg hard drive, to 1 terabyte drives and quad core systems.
If you don't do the research, STFU. Go whine in a corner because its your own damn fault you moron.
*sigh*
