i installed this i crap.. i then (to my horror) saw it was 'doing somthing' (converting they call it) to stuff on my pc.
is there a way to fix the stuff it changed? even tho i don't know what it was even doing exactly?
I would also like then to delete the stupid thing from the PC. but unfortunatly i'm using vista (another thing i hate) and i just can not seem to find where the 'add remove programs' thingy has gone to? WHY DO THEY MESS WITH IT! everything was exactly where it was suppose to be in win2000! everything, even the simplest of controls seem LOST in VISTA!
utter garbadge!

There IS a way to convert those files back to an acceptable format (FLAC, .mp3). Check out dbPowerAmp - it's about $30, but the program is so versatile and reliable that you could convert an .rtf file into an .mp3 if you want. Or you could use Nero...but I hate it. Personal taste aside, you can save your files. Just do it before Apple owns everything.
Oh, Vista's Add/Remove Programs functionality is now listed under the Add Programs Icon in new view.

Well, not to bash the peeps who're paying my bills, but DON'T GET AN IPOD TOUCH!!!! If you drop it further than 33cm, it will shatter the front glass and the Apple Limited Warranty will not cover "accidental damage". It's a $250 USD replacement charge. Same goes for the iPhone.
If it's any consolation - iHate Apple.

make sure that case has mini shock absobers
touch screens sre a bitch to replace. you might as well buy a new item & get a brand new warranty.
i had sony remote commander(awsome remote back then) 2-3 years back(about$250, but i got it through my bro for for $100). i dropped it & cracked the friggin touch screen, everthing still worked except you couldnt use/see the areas were the crack was. they wanted $175 to replace it.
i now use a logitech harmony remote.

Me too!! Logitech rules...their speakers kick ass and their mice can be stepped on by a 300-pound guy and still function impeccably.
Seriously though, why would you pay $400 USD to get a dumbed-down PowerBook with no real OS and a very limited hardware configuration? It's not even compatible with a 1/4 of the 3rd-Party peripherals and apps that the BlackBerry is and that phone sucks balls. I guess if you've got a bunch of extra cash to spend on hardly any functionality...

Not to burst your bubble, Omega, but A) any 3rd-Party case will scratch the shit out of the iPod Touch/iPhone and B) that case will block the one heat-exhaust port on the fucker, which will make it overheat, which will make it a $400 paperweight - "accidental damage" once again since a 3rd-Party device caused the issue.
Apple's making a killing with these technological monstrosities. FIGHT THE POWER!!!!

Do they really overheat that much? Hmm, I was planning on getting the armband to use the touch at the gym.
I'm never going to use iTunes anyway, I get my music from other sources.

I've been using iTunes for about a week to transfer music, tv, and movies over and it's not great but not as bad as I expected.
Album Art: Pain in the ass, but itunes lets you import your own easily. All my music is from the net so most of the time it doesn't find the proper cover. Took me hours to get all my album art but cover flow looks sweet now.
tv shows: Extreme pain in the ass. Even if you mark them as tv when it gets on the ipod they're still categorized as movies. Had to download a program called "Tagger" to do it properly.
movies: Works easily enough
Music: Seems alright, occasionally eats up memory and can slowdown during copying but it rarely crashes and it's still nowhere near as bad as Sonicstage.
I don't like that you need a credit card just to get album covers, that's kind of sneaky on Apple's part.

I find that if I add album art via iTunes, I'd lose all the album artwork if I were to reinstall windows. It's a right pain man! AmI doing something wrong?
Anyone here used Media Monkey?

I fucking hate iTunes
The interface itself is clunky as shit, insanely slow on my quad core (for odd reasons runs faster on my piece of shit Core 2 Duo laptop @ 1.6ghz), plain UGLY and mac software on my PC fuck no. WMP11 is nice smooth and easy to use, sets it up properly for media center. In addition, shittier speakers benefit from SRS/WOW which iTunes doesn't have. Too many confusing options and retarded how slow it scrolls. Why do I use it? Because its the only solution the sends songs to my iPod touch properly, I wish WMP11 had a plugin for the iPod but nooooooo fucking Apple. Anyone who likes iTunes is a fucking San Fransisco Starbucks drinking hippie, who constantly is pleasure by inhaling their own farts.
