My noob friend...

i dont know maybe this is in the wrong thread... its not really a flame... but you never know what will erupt...

So anyway my friend calls me from Fry's while i am eating dinner and asks me if an Athlon MP is like a Duron... a friggin duron... i said no its a server processor and to get it you need a server mobo and a server case. And then i asked why... he said he was building a computer for someone. Thats bad in itself. He had to call me and ask how to put in DDR when he was building his own. So moving on now... while on the phone i told him that i'm getting a new CPU with a better core. And i asked him what core he has. He said he didnt know. So i asked him if it was a green processor or a brown one and i just "happened" to mention that the green ones are better (he's like that... he will always say that what he has is better than it really is...). He said he has a green one. So i asked him if the core was square. He said yes... so i said "Ok #1 tehy didnt have that core out when you got your processor and #2 the green processors have RECTANGLE cores" My friend is such a friggin noob. I dont know why he bothers to lie to me. Any of you have a friend like that?

Hmmm, I wonder what shuki will say. Ironicly I do have a friend like that. His dad builds computers for people in his free time (where I got my first rig). So this kid just thinks that he knows all. He thinks cuz his dad builds computers he knows it all. It's too much to explain right now.....but you get the drift.

yes i do get the drift. There is a kid in my band that said that he knows more about computers than i do because his dad is an IT tech... needless to say i have heard this kid say many a stupid things...
